Apparently I am the only person who felt this way, but that was one of the dullest songs I have ever heard. A firm 1.
This is yet another good reason to click over to Amazon and buy the album if you don't have it already. (I've had it for quite a while now, and it's still in heavy rotation in the car and at home.) This song paints quite a mood. I really like the trumpet/flugelhorn bit at the end of this piece.

Anyone got the lyrics to this?
Well painted passion
You rightly suspect
Impersonation
The dumbing down of love
Jaded in anger
Love underwhelms you
No box of chocolates
Whichever way you fall
And if I tell you
Lover alone without love
What will happen
Lover alone without love
Will you miss him?
Lover alone without--without love
No, no I'll get this
I want to treat you
You're still not famous
And you haven't struck it rich
Underachieving
'Cause no one's receiving
This tunnel vision
It's turning out all wrong
And if I tell you
Lover alone without love
What will happen
Lover alone without love
Will you miss him?
Love alone without, without love
Music is worthless, unless it can
Make a complete stranger
Break down and cry
And if I tell you
Lover alone without love
And what will happen
Lover alone without love
And will you listen
Lover alone without, without love
Without love
Without love
Well, it was good background music until I began to notice it. Had been playing for a half hour or so, or was that only my imagination? The blending of Ms Amos into Frou may have enhanced that illusion. (Or was it?)
I began to get uncomfortable about 2/3 of the way along and by the end I was close to annoyed with the high, whiny, slightly winded sound, which is not what I desire for my listening pleasure.
Anyone got the lyrics to this?
Oh my - I'm starting to feel like I want to buy an album of this delightful stuff...between the Garden State sound track and severl other Frou Frou songs I've heard on this station, I'm really starting to dig it!
Hard to play this as background music and that's a compliment. They force you to listen, or else make you push the mute button, not something inbetween. Very daring, imaginative, atmospheric music.
Frou Frou is great stuff. I nice combination of trip-hop and "Tori Amos-ish" vocals. Very unique! I really suggest their Details album.

I really like Frou Frou - she's so '20s - like Billie Holiday and Dido - I even like the Shrek II remix of "Holding Out For A Hero"
"She" is Imogen Heap. Frou Frou is the duo of Imogen and songwriter Guy Sigsworth..
Her voice really shines on this track. Great album, too!
Nice song to listen to while soaking in the bath.
