Has she fallen from the sky
So heavy of heart
The sigh was on her tongue
The grief was in her arms
She will suffer never
I mean her no harm

She'll come slowly rising
On the air
Lift her weightless
On the air, on the air

And the silence was enough
To shed my guilt
She will always know my wishes
'Cos I remember how it felt

Kisses slowly rising
On the air
Lift her weightless
On the air, on the air

She will suffer never
I mean her no harm

I was thinking exactly the same.  It is indeed.
After hearing this, I went to iTunes to download it and found I had already done so.  I HATE it when that happens!

Amen to to that, have given up on commercial rock radio

From Split Enz to their solo albums - always enjoy hearing from them. I hear Neil is doing wonderfully with Fleetwood Mac - thought that sounded like an interesting connection. Keep the music coming

No rumor, it is a fact that Neil Finn replaced Lindsey Buckingham after a fall-out between Nicks and Buckingham, sadly.  It might have been to all their benefits, since Buckingham subsequently suffered health issues and I believe had an operation which rendered him unable to sing. Hopefully he's on the road to a full recovery.
These slippery guitar tones are magnificent!

These guys have to be the most talented brothers ever. Well, maybe the Vaughan brothers.
I know this song is older than the hills but it still grows on me with each listen.
would be a nice segue into Helter Skelter
never heard that on the Ray Dee Oh
Nice groove! Smooth the way I like it.
How did you just describe them Bill - Australians??

Wash your mouth out immediately
amplifier settings and guitar effects are very pleasing, reminds me of steve howe a little
KIwi's these 2 lads.  As in NEW ZEALANDERS,

Powerful stuff. Love when it goes all Helter Skelter
Haven't heard this one on RP in the past, but it made my day to hear it now!  Thanks!

Good post for a magnificent piece of music.
Mercifully PSDed from Pearl Jam to this. The genius who came up with that idea deserves a lifetime pension.
Love this tune.  And actually own this album but forgot all about it.  Must dig it out now.
It appears the mid to late 90s were a sublime time for music…
Very cool pedestrian beat quite  infectious mr finn's music very good ! {#Bananapiano}
Kind of like the best of Crowded House and Split Enz rolled into one.  Nice groove.{#Sunny}

Homage?

I love and massively respect Neil for how he shows that at any second he could break into really RIPPING electrified guitar solo, and occasionally does, but more often lends his perfect vocals and words atop the edge of feedback and harmonics in mind-bending mood.
I do love me some Finn Brothers sounds. :)
Luscious
R.I.P. mom

excellent-specially for a Sunday morning!

I've liked the Finns since Crowded House.  Love the guitar on this one.

Solid support from the Busey family. They approved.
Really going for the 80s prepostnewwave-subgoth vibe today it seems
I likey !!

aw, what a great connection - thanks for sharing that
Spiritual and somewhat dreamy. This was released when my mother passed away...and I'll always remember how it felt. This song does it for me. Suffer never again.
Love it!

There's an amazing live version of this on the "7 Worlds Collide" DVD/CD. One of the things that makes it sound odd is that Neil's brother Tim is playing drums, and he's clearly not a trained drummer. His unconventional playing just MAKES the song for me. Sounds like his drumming on this studio track too.
Wow, this is very cool.
Never heard this.
Reminds me a bit of the ocean blue - that echoey guitar sound I think it is.
Giving me shivers. Out-standing.

Please play more of this kind of stuff, Finn, Squeeze, Roxy, you know............. and that Norwegian guy
love the trippiness this evolves into, all kinda Helter Skelter!
Finn Brothers...{#Yes}
I know just enough about rugby (my father is a major fan) to notice the number of high tackles early in the video.  Are these related to the shot of the woman playfully choking her friend?  {#Smile}

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The Finn's music and rugby are two of the greatest passions in my life, and I've never seen this video!

Yes but they were also Crowded House who sounded a bit more like this and then Neil Finn's solo stuff sounds very much like this

Definitely got my attention!
It doesn't get any better than...anything that any of the Finns do. Liam's stuff is pretty amazing as well. I've had some of his songs come up when my tunes were on shuffle and I thought it was his uncle, or his dad.

Interesting and .... groovy? Yeah, groovy.

Exactamente!!!!!

I've heard lots of Crowded House, the popular Split Enz stuff and some stuff Neil did with Eddie Vedder.
But this cut is excellent.

It's like an egg in a pinball machine to me. Great tune!!!
me likey kinda helter skelter
why has it taken me four years to hear this!
I just couldn't figure this obscure song title. It helped once I realized it wasn't "Surfer Never".

You've had to of heard of Split Enz. Or Crowded House. Brothers Tim and Neil were in Split Enz way back. Neil was in Crowded House. Not to mention their solo stuff.

I really love parts of this, and really hate other parts of this. Weird.
Someone kidnap Steve Jobs so that Apple puts this on iTunes... Screw it, I'll just buy the album...and everything else these guys put out. Such great news that Crowded House re-formed.
The album cover always makes me think of some odd fried egg and bacon breakfast platter. Tasty!
this song kills me. in a good way.
boooooooringgggg
Funny how much they sound like Crowded House. Oh wait... Liked them then, like them now. c.

Well, SOMEONE knows how to record drums! Not an easy task, that; I'll have to check the producer. My bet's on Jon Brion or Froom+Blake.
Halfway there...N Finn/T Finn/Blake on production. He and Froom teamed up for Crowded House's debut, though, so you get bonus points. Most excellent tune, per usual.
Well, SOMEONE knows how to record drums! Not an easy task, that; I'll have to check the producer. My bet's on Jon Brion or Froom+Blake. _______________________ (Update, 10 mintues later): Ohhhh, ho ho HO! It was produced by Tchad Blake. Nailed it.
That was just so clean. The Finn's have been creeping up on me for years, and the older I get the more I agree with their point of view. Chocolate Cake still cracks me up, and I play it for other people all the time. Anyway, this is a song with some soul and a wonderful sound...the 192 stream certainly showed this one off.

I have GOT to get this! Cause I'm ALL ABOUT the Finns!
I'm always anti-Finn and frequently mute Finn. I don't hate Finn, just not into Finn. This though, is really good.
Love it. Love how Finn-friendly RP is. Yeah, you guys GET IT.
Wow, this rocks!
Solid.
me likey...more stuff I would have never likely heard except for listening to this station. gotta get the credit card out and re-up!

You are aware of their history, right? Split Enz, Crowded House?

It's the ending that makes this song really rock out - and live, it's even better!
it is pure joy to find a station that loves the finn brothers. thank you! thank you! finally someone gets it! they are pure pop genius..
Thank you, Bill, for being so Finn-friendly! All forms of the Brothers Finn are good, Crowded House, Split Enz, solo, together........ yes!
