Yes, I second the reply to the snooty snark of wiseking. Which Santana bad? Because I've heard some Santana that's a lot less compelling than other, but seldom so-said bad, and I can list 20 - 30 cuts which may prove the opposite of 'hackneyed.'  
Anyway, the cut seems to have a more than passing resemblance to Roy Buchanan. Which is not bad, to any hackneyed ears.

Bought the Mirage and The Snow Goose CDs recently.  Excellent.

I particularly like The Snow Goose CD probably because of the RP introductions to this song and Rhayader.

I'd never heard this before!  What a lovely, melodic song... I'm glad it isn't "Frampton's Camel," because (shhhh - and don't tell anyone I wrote this!) I think Camel runs circles around Frampton's Camel. I love Peter Frampton's music, and he's earned his stripes, but this "Camel" is much more intricate and soulful, IMO. {#Mrgreen}

Andrew Latimer (guitar), Andy Ward (drums) and Doug Ferguson (bass) had been playing as a trio called The Brew around the Guildford, Surrey area of England. They recruited Peter Bardens (keyboards) and after an initial gig to fulfill a Bardens commitment on 8 October 1971 in Belfast, Northern Ireland under the name of Peter Bardens' On, they changed their name to Camel. I imagine that I am not the first member on the site who has deduced that "calypsus_1" writes his or her comments in Spanish (or another non-English language) and then runs them through some sort of translation program which creates those garbled fragments.  Sometimes randomly-translated passages can be amusing, other times - not so much.  As for the distinctive blue text, um.....

A definite blast from the past. I used to have this album, and if my memory's not got too many bad sectors it was a concept album based on Paul Gallico's novel about the Dunkirk evacuation in WWII. There's a bit about it at Wikipedia.

I think your apology should relate more to the fact that you have a hard time writing the English language properly. Your fragmented sentence babble can be quite disjointed. I should think that most of the "hip hop generation" while not RP material, could at least reply with a comment that the rest of us (or most of us) could understand.

No problem with that, westslope.  There actually is quite some Camel on RP which is hardly ever played. Still you can click on one of the affiliate links and buy the album thereby both helping RP and Camel ( and the record company )
