Where to run baby, where to hide
Caught in the rain on the losing side
All you wanted was some kind of friend
All you got was some heartache instead
Whoa, whoa, my little angel, pick up the pieces baby, start it again
Whoa, whoa, my little angel, pick up the pieces baby, start it again
Well it's true, baby, what they say
Fools are falling, fade away
Losing love in a passing wind
And don't know why it's so hard to win
Whoa, whoa, my little angel, pick up the pieces baby, start it again
Whoa, whoa, my little angel, pick up the pieces baby, start it again
Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh, love's slipping away
Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh, love's slipping away
Where to run baby, where to hide
Caught in the rain on the losing side
All you wanted was some kind of friend

This is a pretty decent song, has it really been 15 years since it was played?
i put this song on a mix tape that i guess i made sometime between 1988-1991 i think i had been grounded at the time
... it is not the strongest song on the tape .. but i think the tape holds up pretty well overall ...
the fact that itunes/mp3s and all have made mixing songs so easy is such a double edged sword ... so wonderfully easy .. but none of the blood sweat and tears that made mix tapes such labors of love ....

Or, at least, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie doing a duet.

Hah! They're from Milwaukee. Put THAT on your cheese curds.

That's what I came here to say.
That breathy, screechy, flat "woho, my little angel" is so painful I can hardly stand it.
Completely thought this was one of those boring and forgettable Fleetwood Mac songs (not the excellent stuff they have). Give it a "Ho Hum"
Wow- I haven't heard this in forever. I forgot I have this on vinyl. Good tune.
I haven't heard this song in a decade! I love the way you find these nuggets that I'd forgotten existed.
I always thought this was a Lindsey Buckingham solo

Yup...was wondering if they did backups
Definitely Fleetwood Machish. RE-tarded.

I was just stopping in to see if anyone else had heard the similarity as well. I should have known that a couple of people around here would.
I was just going to ask the same question - sounds like Lindsay's voice and Mick's drumming
This current stretch of music is making me verrry lethargic. Like I want to stop working, lie in bed with my best pair of headphones on, close my eyes and just listen to the music.
But I don't think that would make my boss too happy.

Fleetwood Mac.

a great (and thankfully) underplayed BoDeans cut..
Really sounds like Fleetwood Mac, doesn't it!

I nominate this song for best Fleetwood Mac (aka Ship Driverhaul) soundalike song. Definite Lindsey Buckingham vibe.
seconded!

Whenever I hear the intro, it sounds like this song could have been slipped onto "Tusk" without anyone being the wiser.

Bo Deans! Takes me right back to my honorary Cheesehead days. Crack open another Lineys and pass the curds round the ice shack, life is good.

Yes! I thought so, too...early Mac, definitely!

The vocals, for sure.
Gawd - I have this on vinyl!!!!!!! I love BoDeans. Their "Joe Dirt Car" CD is so much fun. A few clunkers (pardon the pun), but mostly, short of seeing the band live, it's the next best thing to experiencing the love their audiences have for them, and they for their fans.
I'd forgotten this song, since I've been switching to CD from vinyl - thanks, RP, for playing it! ::sigh:: One more album I'll have to get on CD...
Most excellent - have not heard this version....except when I saw them for the first time in a little bar in Nashville doing an acoustic show. Rock on Bodeans !!

BoDeans rock, toes a tappin...

First one in to say I dig this tune!! (I'm still not sure what so exciting about being the first one to comment on a song) :-k
