Unlike other musicians, giving this song a low rating (3) in no way detracts from his stature as a great musician. Remember "Dead Set on Destruction," "Crystal," and the Beaster EP among other great tunes and projects Bob has worked on , and jam to them.
I think this is an okay song from Mr. Mould. Frankly, (IMHO)if Bill played anything from Black Sheets of Rain, the response from the RP listening audience would probably be overwhelmingly negative. That album is real, raw, and very post punk. Certainly not for everyone.
Then again, isn't that the formula of RP to begin with?
blech.
fromage.
Is this what Garfield the cat would sound like if he wrote his own ballad? Does his voice remind anyone else of that cartoon?
This isn't Black Sheets of Rain, for sure. What doesn't work is the songwriting.
It's good to hear Mould stretch his voice to a new style.
The bells/organ just ain't working.
A better song (or mebbe a better producer) woulda been a different story.
Sorry, but this is really terrible.
I really like Bob Mould. But I have to say, this is a huge disappointment from him.
How about playing some SUGAR? or something from Workbook? These works offer a much better look at a really great artist and guitar player.
At least he's out to the electronic phase he was in.

How about 3 or 4? No? Ok. I'm just thrilled to have a Bob Mould morsel thrown my way at Radio Paradise.
Thanks Bill and Rebecca! :)

Yay Bill!
Finally some Bob Mould on RP! Granted, it's not his best song but it's a start.
(Does this mean I can re-upload all of his stuff that was rejected on the LRC?)
No.
What's up with the tremelo organ from the local roller-rink?
Yay Bill!
