Before the time of the morning sandman
I can find my way around
Soon be here at the borderline I guess
Armageddon coming down

And here lies a pretty state again
It's time to make a move on
Cos in three days I'll be out of here
And it's not a day too soon

Firelight, the light of love, burns
Turns to ashes in your hand
So to bed by the morning light I guess
I'm awake and understand

Set sail for St. Petersburg
Making use of my time
Cos in three days I'll be out of here
And it's not a day too soon

Head out to a better life
I can get a job, settle down
I'm full of love, of a full of feeling
I can't stand the here and now

Leave town for pity's sake you know
It's time to make a move on
Cos in three days I'll be out of here
And it's not a day too soon
Yeah, three days I'll be out of here
And it's not a day too soon

This fantastic song has so many great things — stately strings and rhythms, bits of piano echoing Elliot Smith, smooth as silk vocals...

I Agree completely!  Thanx RP!

LOL!!
for a second, i thought it was elliot smith.
Not a fan of the mushy vocals...
Hearing this I now have to go listen to the whole album.  Be back in about an hour Radio Paradise!
Gaz Coombes has a wonderful album out now called "World's Strongest Man".

Different from Supergrass but really, really good IMHO.
I thought "Mothers milk" was the "Road to Ruin" - or according to Supergrass that should be Mothers MILF.

Geddit?
Spirit into Supergrass

How wonderful...

Nice groove. Cool vocals.
 Supergrass — St. Petersburg !!!!

Why aren't these guys bigger? Too good? Too ahead of things? Too obscure?

It's not really going to change, is it?*

An awesome 'small' town/city along Tampa Bay. The view from the park by the "Pier" at night is just... well, postcard material:

I like supergrass but this isn't one of may favourites
These guys have some supergrass.
The bass player sleep-walked out of a first floor window and broke his back. Maybe their next album title will be less portentous?
Zzzzz ...

Heard the DJ say "Road to Ruin" and I was gonna dock them a point just for using an album name that ABSOLUTELY MUST NEVER BE REUSED ... but then I saw the spelling and just smiled. Kinda catchy.
Kinda funny also that Superdrag just released an album called Changin' Tires on the Road to Ruin
Heard em on RP first and now I'm a big fan. Really like this album.
Rouen: "A city of northern France on the Seine River west-northwest of Paris. Of pre-Roman origin, it was repeatedly raided by the Norse in the ninth century, became the capital of medieval Normandy in the tenth century, and was held by the English from 1418 to 1449. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake here in 1431. Population: 105,000." - freedictionary.com
Great album. I bought it after hearing it here on RP. I also like the cover - I used to do a lot of long-exposure photography.

Oh great, Bill! Now I'm gonna have to go out and buy this! What's the big idea - playing great music that most stations overlook? Sheesh!
Exactly. Rather than us contrbute to RP, maybe RP should subsidise the listeners, as we are compelled to go out and buy music we might otherwise not have heard, let alone bought. I take all usual cards, and cash. Especially cash. A$29.95 = US$23.21. Thank you.
awesome album (best of 2005), awesome band, go see them live!

This is a beautiful pop song.
i must have had work cheese in my ears when i just heard bill say "supertramp".
wow, almost the whole album is on RP's play list!
The end of this sounded like it was segueing into Led Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused" (the live version) and it being early in the a.m. that's what I was... err, it was.. the hell with it... nice sound... goodnight... good morning...
They have the appeal of something much further back. I really like it.
I really like Supergrass. The mood they convey is pretty great. ... hey I just heard a chord or two that reminded me of the Cure... hmmm
Joan Jett goes country, no?
Have you ever been trapped in a city with only a few days before you can leave? This song and I are forever connected because of that.
This song is great, and one of my favorite songs from last year. Play it more, please
haha
Don't know why...just a damn catchy tune..

Whenever I hear the word 'Supergrasss' I keep thinking of that scene in Caddyshack when Carl Spackler is describing the hybrid turf he developed.
My favorite off of one of the best albums of the year.
They were at Leno's yesterday, great voice, great song, great band!
rock on! great song, great band. Thanks for playing!
between pedro and bill, supergrass is the can't miss band this year... loved everything i've heard from them... and it's been a great spectrum of quality... wow nice
