Touch me
How can it be?
Believe me
The sun always shines on TV
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me
To me

I reached inside myself and found
Nothing there to ease the pressure off
My ever-worried mind
All my powers waste away
I fear the crazed and lonely looks
The mirror's sending me these days

Touch me
How can it be?
Believe me
The sun always shines on TV
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me

Please don't ask me to defend
The shameful lowlands of the way
I'm drifting gloomily through time
I reached inside myself today
Thinking there's got to be some way
To keep my troubles distant

Touch me
How can it be?
Believe me
The sun always shines on TV
Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me

Hold me
Close to your heart
Touch me
And give all your love to me
To me

a...HA!! yeah! play anything but TAKE ON ME
Their MTV videos were also very good.
love it
Soooo gooood!!!! Hard to believe they are on tour in the US now..I am going to try to see them when they come to California!
a-ha!

Funny hearing this today after some recent workplace confusion about an acronym (AHA ticket) nobody knew.  Of course it made me mentally hear this tune wondering what the AHA acronym meant.

I still don't know what the acronym stands for, but hey, it's OK cuz I got to hear the actual tune.

LLRP!!
Sooo ripped off by U2's "Beautiful Day" ...
Do you lift, bro?
What a fucking sound. I love them since the beginning
2015-present???
They've obviously never watched the X Files.

Love this one, Take On Me, and Foot Of The Mountain.
Oh man this reminds me of growing up in Jersey. Life was pretty good for this kid in 1985.
This rocks harder the PSB. And thank you for recalling when music was EXHUBERANT.

This is outstanding power pop of the first order. Anyone who is snobby about all 80s music probably wasn't there. There was a lot of crap around, but this definitely feels superior. This track stands with the best of the Pet Shop Boys as joyous, exuberant silliness. Love it.

It still packs a punch 🤛🎸
this holds up so well today.
Is there anything better to come out of the scary 80's. Frankie goes to Scandinavia!!!
Wow. This one has never sounded better than... right now.
yay! finally some a-ha!

Not digging it.   Too overproduced.

Would love to hear a stripped down and/or acoustic version.

Ha ha ha! A little blast from the past fun!
Electro classic!

I've never heard any other A-Ha than Take on Me. Can picture this in a training montage from an 80s movie fo sho.

Agree.  Flashdance for basketball players.  A montage of the world's first all-female car racing team.
Confession: It's melodramatic, operatic, Rocky-ish but I kind of like it.
Cheese, but nostalgic cheese...

It wasn't the songwriting, but the production.

I'm enjoying this. I wouldn't want to hear it every day or anything, but it's fun every now and again.
It's not easy to find that many songs with "shine" in the title.
This song is one reason I hate eighties music.  It tortures my ears.  Touch me?  I don't think so!

Sorry RP, gotta draw the line here as beneath your reputation - -(as in minus) 1
Great song!

TV? does anyone really still watch that? that is so 1980's! =)
Wow, reallly? This was always one of my favorite non-hits by them! {#Good-vibes}

In its day this album was AWESOME! I still love just about every song on this album. I love their latest album, Analogue, as well.
I Totally agree... Analogue is awesome!

nostalgia alone is no reason to listen to this.
Agreed. But I still think their music then and now is fantastic. Did you ever see the music video for "The Sun Always Shines on TV?"...the scarey maniquins in the abandoned church?.. came out the same year as their video for "Take On Me" and they won awards for both videos that year. They've always had great art direction. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

There are two A-ha's. The one-hit wonder band from the 80's, and the more mature A-ha that has relased a couple of nice albums this decade.
Oh its not that bad! Ive heard a lot worse... A good throw back to the 80's and my time at school.
oha! a very nice flashback into the 80's
Gay.

Oh, I dunno. Take On Me could be what you're referring to, but they also did a James Bond track which was pretty good too ;)
I am sure this was added to the playlist just to see our reaction. There possibly can be no other reason.

another vinyl 'great' i still own
I'm giving this "ho-hum" for the sake of nostalgia. (Grew up in the 80s, must've been 10 or 11 when this came out.) "Hunting high and low" (the title track) is pretty decent. I would give that a 4, maybe even a 5.
Despite all the nasty things I said to my sister when she blared this on her ghetto blaster in 1986, I enjoyed hearing it this morning. Brought back memories, and even got my toe tapping.

relax. 3 minutes of nostalgia never killed anyone. jeez.
Nostalgia? This is worse than listening to an hour loop of Scritti Polliti while undergoing a root canal without anesthesia.
Ahh, typical bombastic 80's synth drama It's nice to hear this again after all those years, but I don't really want to hear it again too soon
A-Ha...? Interesting choice. 7...for now. Can't say as I've ever heard this one.
Que vivan los ochentas carajo!
its wonderful its friday and weekend, cool

this is on the 80s mix i made a few years back. LOVE IT
This sounds pretty dated. I don't like it.

I'd be lying if I said the initial negative reaction to this song surprises me. I'm younger than most of you all, so I remember this fondly from my formative years. Not a classic, and certainly dated, but pretty solid. A 7.
Have to agree - I like this much better than "Take On Me". But the rest of this album was pretty disappointing, IMO.

Not my category, so I'll defer. Whatever it is (synth-pop?), it doesn't work for me.

I suddenly desire to watch Metroplois, the remake version with that 80's soundtrack.
So, I have some affection for the big A-Ha pop hit 'Take On Me'. It is OK to me occasionally. however, this one just seems pretty much a waste of music space...
"Aha" - as we say in german :-) Surprised to hear this here... but it fits :)
wow. they did another song?
Did a double take when I heard this. Wow.
