Wash your face Rosanna
Tonight we'll go out on this town
Give them dogs a bone and put them down
Shine your shoes Rosanna
Tonight we're walking on those tiles
Give them cats a class in feline style
Have a drink Rosanna
Pour it straight and knock it down
Pull the rug of being up from the ground
Take a seat Rosanna
Soak your sight and suck the sound
Skip the last train home go underground
Have a heart Rosanna
Clubs for fools and spades for clowns
Diamonds only serve to fill your crown
See me in Rosanna
Here's a boy in shining steel
Fighting for a part of something real
Tonight we'll go out on this town
Give them dogs a bone and put them down
Shine your shoes Rosanna

on this tune, yes -it's an interesting album and actually has some fun moments
Does this singer and band sound remind anyone else of Richard Shindell?
Might be due to a rotation repeat giving your brain an audio cue. I had several driving mix tapes of my record collection. I couldn't tell you what was on them, but as one track ended I knew what was coming next. What was really spooky were the occasions when I was listening to the radio and the 'correct' track followed...
Is there a grotto at the Guggenheim Museum? Is it like Hugh Hefner's? So many questions this band brings up yet provides no answers.

It took me 4 years to figure out the reference in your comment and I'm plenty old enough to remember Toto. Just now the Rosanna part clicked.
For years I was thinking "this doesn't sound like Toto at all". Sometimes I worry about myself. Other times I forget to.
Love this song and bought the album. There are a few good cuts on it.

Good catch! No one can accuse BillG of sloppy song sequencing.

well, this Irish band, in my opinion is underplayed and under-appreciated, but then Bill knows this.

By default - music made by Toto is ... this Rosanna is quite likeable

Thank you for this song.
Never heard it before (as this often happens on your station)
Somehow it came at the right time :)

Don't much care for Gordon, but these guys I like :)
Really like this one. And agree on the Gordon Lightfoot sound-alike.
The cool thing about these two guys is that they did this album/CD pretty much by themselves — recording, production, and promotion. I can almost imagine putting out an indie hit (i.e., played on RP :-) myself, if only...
PS Why do I seem to be the only one posting here? (Probably because I am.)

Another track from this album/CD, Philosophia, was an iTunes freebie in April 2007, which is how I first heard GG. It's good but I like this one even more.
Looks like lots of us hear Gordon Lightfoot.
Say, that's a good idea, let's hear some Gordon Lightfoot!
I've never heard of these guys before, and I'm REALLY liking this. I'll have to see if I can find the CD online to sample the other tracks before buying.

Recently purchased the cd from CD Baby... can't say enough great things about it. If you enjoy this track and the others that RP plays, you will like the entire CD. Hasn't left my player for a few weeks now.
Ditto and I second that. I love this album. Top 5 I purchased this year!

Yawwwwn.... Play Gordon Lightfoot instead.
Does this group have anything to do with Herod and Funkk? They sound similar, just curious.
cool song ...hope to hear again soon...
Yesss play on RP
I'm keen to hear more from this group. This track is nothing special, but it's definitely nothing awful enough to warrant the dreaded STOP button being pressed.
It certainly leaves me curious about other tracks.

Gord, yes that's what I though as well.
Such a fancy name for such an ordinary band.
Good if you are trying to get to sleep.
