Cast the calming apple
Up and over satellites
To draw out the timid wild one
To convince you it's alright

And I listen for the whisper
Of your sweet insanity
While I formulate denials
Of your effect on me

You're a stranger, so
What do I care?
You vanish today
Not the first time I hear
All the lies

What am I to do with all this silence?

Shy away, shy away, phantom
Run away, terrified child
Won't you move away, you fucking tornado?
I'm better off without you tearing my will down

In 50 years Maynard James Keenan will be considered one of the most talented musicians of the late 1900’s and early 2000’s. Remembered and studied far more than Taylor Swift. Sorry Swiftheads.

Not sure what to think when the guy names his vineyard after a pubic wig.

Hmmm. Slugs.
Funny how some people are surprised by what they will hear on RP. That's the beauty of Bill's selections and RP!

Keep up the good work guys!

Amazing record. Still waiting for more of this sound from MJK.

The cover art on their latest release is no improvement.
Impressed and amused to hear this on RP.  No simple task to pick a Perfect Circle track that is not too, shall we say, strong for the average listener.
Reminds me of Pussifer (That would be a great segue Bill)
Love the group. Hate the cover art.

Yay for Perfect Circle on RP!!!!

Well, if that's the case, I'll have to check out the album because I quite like this — it made me look up from what I'm working on to check out who it is.

APC is playing in an outdoor gig next weekend in a small town in northern Alberta. The place started out as a field party I think years ago and has grown. Quite impressed this band will be there. Bands get better every year. Last year Offspring was probably the biggest act there.

Here's a link if anyone is interested.

I was once dragged to a Tool concert by my ex husband in California.  Maynard was so intense I had to leave the room. I like this though.
You can never have enough banana peppers on your cheek. Regardless, nice track. Unexpected from a Perfect Circle.
Im really happy to see some APC and Tool played on my beloved R.P.

"A Perfect Circle sound like a desperate dream of what rock used to be. Maybe that's the point." Pat Bashill, Rolling Stone.

Nice.

Ya gotta love Maynard!

This is pretty good, but I never thought that Maynard lived up to the promise of those first two tool albums.

I saw tool at the 97 lollapoluza where Maynard wore a bra and strange top-knot thing on his head.  Still one the best shows ever.  They were headlining, but the show closed with DEVO, who made up for their relative oldness by being at least 3x LOUDER than tool!   Really great show.
Is that a slug or a chilli on the lass's face?
Like this , 7.
Hey, isn't this Elbow's singer?
Can't believe no Santa Cruz alum have commented on the album cover. Go, Banana Slugs!{#Wave}
Superb choice!
GREAT distinct voice...always reminds me of Micky Dolens (The Monkeys)

Glad to hear this band on RP!!!
More of this, please
So glad you play this band!

Not heard this for ages, going to put both APC albums onto iPod tonight.

I really wish Tool would not go on hiatus for so damn long.

Upload some please!
TOOL = best band ever. well, they're way up there anyway. i guess most of their stuff is a bit too edgy for RP, though, eh? APC is a nice compromise.

This makes me very happy. : )))))))) Well, the music itself is a little depressing, but I'm always happy to hear APC on RP...
