The Kenny G of electric Guitar. Sorry.
This would be the theme music to a film of Kenny G and John Tesch getting it on in a meadow.

D'oh. Preempted.
Does this make anyone else think of Top Gun?
Just me?
Ok.

What's wrong with Kenny G? He rips!
So do I, after Taco Bell.
Worthy, but dull!
Ok good, we got it; Satriani is the most boring guitarist on earth. Next song please
there was this man that came to school and made a synthesizer presentation. And this was the 80s and it was still a new hot instrument and it couldnt be made boring. But this dude proved that it was possible. And this track brought back that memory.
Electric guitar should be exciting, but nope...this is waiting for my nails to dry music from a waiting area at the salon.
Of all the guitar virtousos, this guy is consistently the least interesting
GAWD, I can't STAND Satriani.

Define "soulful" - then tell me how you can hear it.

He ain't even in the same playing field as Beck. or Rory Gallager or Buchanan, Adrian Belew, etc.
On any given Saturday in my local Guitar Center there are kids who are are 14 who are shredding and wankering as good as Joe Even when he trys to be "soulful", just misses the mark.

The next best thing to Jeff Beck. This is a fine song, IMO.

Fab.
Trivial harmonies brought to an epic proportion - not my cup of tea
Strange. Like listening to two different songs on the radio, switching back and forth between stations. I liked the bit at the beginning, and the middle, and the end, but the transitions (a.k.a. killing time) were not contribuiting to the whole.

I came to this song page to say the same thing.
Not a bad track, but it's still difficult to drum up much respect.
noise. less noise please.
I quite like the acoustic backing, sans "Big 80's" drumwork. I'm just not too fond of that overly-smooth electric guitar tone.
The next best thing to Jeff Beck. This is a fine song, IMO.
Thanks for playing this stuff.
I like the stylings of Mr S.

It's just that I feel we're all entitled to our opinion and we all need to get alo... Oh screw it. This bastard is WEAK!! STEVIE RAY!! STEVIE RAY!!!

I don't know man...maybe only in his musical masturbation...but definitely not as light as Kenny G. Satriani is hardly Starbucks music or Adult Contemporary.

Two older Satriani goodies in one day, huh? Very nice.
That is what I was thinking.
