Standing on a golf course dressed in PVC
I chanced upon a golf girl selling cups of tea
She asked me did I want one, asked me with a grin
For three pence you can buy one full right to the brim

So of course I had to have one – in fact I ordered three
So I could watch the golf girl, could see she fancied me
And later on the golf course after drinking tea
It started raining golf balls and she protected me

Her name was Pat
And we sat under a tree
She kissed me
We go for walks in fine weather
All together
On the golf course
We talk in morse

Neil from the "young ones" did a great cover of this. love it
They have released better stuff than this. Can whoever up-loaded it up-load some other tracks, please?
A truly classic hidden gem of the Cantebury era. mwah mwah mwah
No point in debate - A friggin Canterbury masterpiece!

Sounds like Dis guy needs a Joint to enjoy this....
This song is half weird and half boring. It's Beatlesesque in the playful lyrical styling and melody + Jethro Tull-ish with the excessive fluting and long interludes but not edgy enough to really win me over or make me feel something.

I dig both the trombone and the flute solos. Enjoying the song!

Thanks for digging this one out! It's one of those songs I'd forgotten about and then it all came right back with the first few notes. Delightful!
I love this album. I listened to it in college back in the 70's. While I do find it a period piece, I still enjoy it, especially this song and the title track.

Obscure for a reason
Greetings, It sounds like navel gazing, to me... Neil
