Nice one!
Never would have expected such a song on RP (though always good for a surprise).
For a European still such sounds are familiar, and ... very nice! A beat that directly goes into your blood ...
I like the instruments, but it's kind of a goofy song
How fun is this song!  Thank you Bill
Cha cha effin cha ...
Great tune!  Typical for Radio Paradise.  Brings me back to the Middle East.
off the subject....what about some nina simone?

good but we want to lissen mor from turkish rock
I wonder why "GIGI" (the incredible Ejigayyehu Shibabaw of course, not this Italian Disco-bullshitter!) gets no chance here Iinstead of the likes we just heard. This Turkish plastic-Disco -HORRIBLE!!!). Remarkable for a station like RP - really!!! Stingray
...likewise stupid (as much as Nut Zippers) Libanon-Pop or what is this awful shit? Stingray
putumayo
Hooray, this is the first time that I've heard a song totaly turkish not just its name on RP. Turkiye'den Sevgiler.
I really like this! Super grooovy. Love the electronic elements mixed with the vintage. Very cool. I have no idea if this is truly Turkish in style but its' getting this whitebread westerner going.
it's interesting to listen to a turkish song here on RP. here in turkey i'm not a Bendeniz-fan but when i heard that somebody singing turkish i was really happy! thanks:)
kinda groovy.

Good thing its a "Turkish Groove" then. If Christianity were judged by its most regressive and reactionary elements, how would it stack up? Just food for thought. ;-)

Very cool to pick up on the Turkish vibe in Neil Finn's song and transition to this song.

Not really ... it's just been temporarily hijacked by a bunch of neocons who have their heads up their a**es. Even Dubya and "Shooter" Cheney and "MC" Rove won't destroy it in eight years, try as they might. By the way, the song's a 1.

Yeah, just like people the world over. Don't kid yourself, pal. No one is different in this regard. Most people the world over will gladly trade liberty for a false sense of security any day, and most confuse patriotism with jingoism. European history is rife with examples. And the "American Empire" is not drawing to an end, it is just beginning (unfortunately) as our civil liberties are traded in for a false "war on terror" which will lead to dictatorship in a few decades at max. That is, unless Bush and Cheney are impeached and removed from office as they should be... Enough soapbox! Let's talk music: this is just not resonating with me. Anyone recommend some alternative Turkish music that might be more...
I did find myself grooving at the computer wondering who it is...a little wierd to see it\'s from one of those Putumayo compilation albums. I likey regardless
Can\'t believe you\'re playing this. I dig it the most.

Hi, birdbrain. Nice to hear from you again. Facts, huh? Care to debate Yalta and the screw job your "great USA" (together with Churchill and "Uncle Joe" Stalin) did on Poland? Your response only confirms what I wrote about the propaganda you poor schmoes believe in. Take off the blinders, pal, and keep an eye out for those chickens coming home to roost.

It seems you need to get some facts straight as well. It was in fact the Soviet Red Army that "freed" Poland from the Nazi controlled Germany, and not the US. Although the US contribution in WW II was invaluable for Europe, they where not the only ones fighting. US lost more than a few, but European countries lost millions more. Soviet alone lost 20 million! (Soviet politics aside).

Perhaps you have been hanging with the Turk too long, because this makes little sense (to me, and I grew up in Houston so know the dialect)

Kirmizi biber = red pepper I believe there's a guy who didn't take this singer girl seriously, when she hits on him. And now she says I'll do this I'll do that and you'll be crazy and eventually be mine. Chick stuff as you see.
Love this! Im getting psyched for my Fall Bellydance Sessions. And, I am ashamed at how much I love Putumayo\'s mixes
The Putumayo albums continue to impress. They play these records (yes, vinyl I believe...) at a small local (Old Town Alexandria, VA, USA) store called the \"Cash Grocer\". They\'re being forced out of business by the landlord unfortunately. They\'ll be gone on the 18th :\'( This music (the putumayo albums in general) will remind me of the people that worked there.
bring some more of that interantional flavor to RP, isn\'t that what paradise is all about?
