This gem would've ridden off without me knowing about it without RP
This...exactly why I've tuned to RP for 20+ years

Tim “Wild Thang” Lepard was a bull fighter and rodeo clown. But as his number of bull-related surgeries increased, he decided to go behind the scenes and mastermind what would become Team Ghost Rider:
"I wanted an act that no one would forget in rodeo and felt performing with three dogs and three monkeys would accomplish my goal."

Maybe more continuity than you think.
A while back a worked with a guy who claimed to know Jim Morrison when they were both in high school down in Florida. In fact, he said that Jim dated his sister and was over at their house alot. After he became famous, he would show-up now and then and visit. This guy's Mom loved Ghost Riders in the Sky and told Jim that he should write a song like that. When Riders on the Storm came out, Jim told her "Here's your song" (or something to that effect).
I don't know how true it is but it sounded legit at the time.
Great story! I like both songs though prefer the Outlaws version of this one.

Please stop wasting our time with crap like this!
Ghosts all over this morning! :) BT's "Satellite" -> Blaudzun's "Another Ghost Rocket" -> CGT's "Ghost Riders on the Storm"
Unique Album Cover

ok that made me laugh, but it doesn't make it less terrible
The boys play this on Brokestring Mountain. Seasoned riders, they`re always a-hankerin` to get back in the saddle again.
I miss the tack piano on the Cash version.
absolutely correct :)

Have to agree. Mixing the two is jarring. On balance though, let's see...

No soul, no continuity between Ghost Riders and Riders... The archetypical "Ho Hum" 3.

They're obviously great players, but this didn't really work for me.
Awful
Oh boy, another set of obviously over the hill wannabees churns out another novelty
hey whats this! is was just ridin on my horse with the ghostriders in my ears, and suddenly there are the doors. My horse felt asleep! but allright there we go again!!!
yippie a yee!!!!!
yippie a yee!!!!!
This is awesome with earphones.
At first this was "Hey! Fun!" and then they killed Riders on the Storm. Sacriledge.
Ha! Funny!
1) Take two good songs with similar "themes"
2) Drain them of all interest and swing
3) Mash them together.
Result is about as interesting as baby food. Yeah, it tastes like peaches...Great.

Really liked it. Was listening to streaming from phone playing thru my car stereo* driving back to Indy. Nice change. Gotta listen w/an open mind.
*More listeners should stream from their phone if you get "unlimited data" from Verizon (or other carrier). It'll make you appreciate Radio Paradise that much more. And be sure to support more accordingly as you stream more. Radio Paradise MUST stay around! If I win the lottery they'll get a chunk.

Adios. I'm off for a slash myself, then coming back for more fine music. Just thought you'd want to know that.

It doesn't have the gut-churning menace and electricity of the originals, and of course the lyrics, but still pretty good IMO. 7 from the Nottingham jury.
chyk5 wrote:Dunno 'bout that. They perform an instrumental arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody" -a tune with ( warning : looming understatment) a couple significant intricacies- rather admirably, me thinks.
What's next? A cover of Send In The Clowns?
No insipid lyrics? Most excellent!

Like Joe Satriani.
Their albums don't compare to how good they are live.
I've seen them at least 5 times now and have never been disappointed. Once with Tony Levin on Bass and Pat Mastelotto on Drums. Yeah!

Pretty cool...sounds like the version from the Ghost Rider movie.
Mostly this is great, but a few parts seem to come straight from a Christopher Guest movie.
