I feel it all, I feel it all
I feel it all, I feel it all
The wings are wide, the wings are wide
Wild card in sight, wild card in sight
Oh I'll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one to hold the gun
I know more than I knew before
I know more than I knew before
I didn't rest, I didn't stop
Did we fight or did we talk?
Oh I'll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one to hold the gun
I love you more
I love you more
I don't know what I knew before
But now I know I want to win the war
No one likes to take a test
Sometimes you know more is less
Put your weight against the door
Kick-drum on the basement floor
Stranded in the fog of words
Loved him like the winter bird
On my head the water pours
Gulf stream through the open door
Fly away
Fly away to what you want to make
I feel it all, I feel it all
I feel it all, I feel it all
The wings are wide, the wings are wide
Wild card in sight, wild card in sight
Oh I'll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll be the one who'll break my heart
I'll end it, though you started it
The truth lies (we could be together)
The truth lied (And now I wonder)
If lies divide (to the end, we've got to make it)
Lies divide
I feel it all, I feel it all
The wings are wide, the wings are wide
Wild card in sight, wild card in sight
Oh I'll be the one who'll break my heart

I don't get the divergence of opinion regarding Feist. Her songs are super catchy, its not like she's projecting massive amounts of artifice, nor is she trying to reinvent the wheel.

Sounds like the studio cleaner's little girl found the controls and started messing around.
This album cover makes me think of acupunture --- a pain/crink in the neck ---- it does not help to enjoy the song one bit ----- something for cover artists to consider in the future ---- these things DO matter

The music is OK, but the vocalist is insufferable. 4 I guess.

Leslie Feist is great!
It's not her fault that a great little indie band got catapulted by an iPod commercial ....

I took this on Friday night after a shift as a hospitality volunteer (the Ottawa Festival is the very best at providing snacks for volunteers, let alone performers), and printed a copy when I got home. I managed to catch her just as she was leaving the next day and she kindly signed it for me. She's really nice, and really tiny!
As always, thanks, calypsus_1, for the visual and a glimpse into the artist's interaction with the fans. You rock.

Just love the scuzzy distorted guitar on this.
After watching her perform, hearing her sing live, and being totally mesmerized by her guitar-work, I have to say, this woman doesn't need a backup band - it's just icing on the cake. I loves me my Feist.

Stealing riffs (Hey Ya) from any song is bad, but taking them from other cheesy pop songs merits a rating of 1.

OMG HER NECK'S EXPLODING! SOMEONE GET A NAPKIN!
Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. She seems pretentious. Not really all that good either.
Edit - Seems I said that already. Except for the "exlpoding neck" part.

Really not all that good. Kind of annoying actually. Moving from 4 to 3.
Someone made a comment about a "self absorbed quality" to it that seems to nail it on the head. For some reason this song just oozes that. Can't place it, don't know why, just does.

Her music is like cotton candy: Nice enough for a while but no real staying power.

And while I hate the use of good music in the neverending corporate quest for gold, I don't blame the artist. Singers gotta eat too!

Yes, but the comments were made the old fashioned way, she earned them.
The avuncular John Houseman used that as the tagline in an ad for an investment company...In an interesting twist, the selfsame company was
convicted of defrauding its customers...
