One two three,
Counting out the signs we see
The tall buildings
Fading in the distance
Only dots on a map
Four five six
The two of us a perfect fit
You're all mine all mine

And all I can say
Is you blow me away

Like an apple on a tree
Hiding out behind the leaves
I was difficult to reach
But you picked me
Like a shell upon a beach
Just another pretty piece
I was difficult to see
But you picked me,
Yeah you picked me

So softly,
Rain against the windows
And the strong coffee
Warming up my fingers
In this fisherman's house
You got me,
Searched the sand
And climbed the tree
And brought me back down

And all I can say
Is you blow me away

Like an apple on a tree
Hiding out behind the leaves
I was difficult to reach
But you picked me
Like a shell upon a beach
Just another pretty piece
I was difficult to see
But you picked me, yeah you picked me

Same Here!  Thanx RP!
Her voice makes me melt....
I think I finally figured where this song should be....a broadway musical

It's totally fine to not like a song, and to express a different opinion, right?
Look at the responses below by Droidac, horstman, and RMutt where, as a response to a negative opinion, they insult the poster personally.

That's not right.  If the song's good, defend it. If it's not, criticize it. But let's not turn on each other just because we like different things.

Well said, dmax! Let's not devolve into Republicans and Democrats!
Pretty voice; cute girl. Reminds me a little bit of Over the Rhine with a higher register. Please note: I've stated it reminds me, okay? okay. :)
Such a voice... Love it!
SOOOOO tired of "precious" girls...sugar and spice and pretentious articulation...

Easy to please.

This song is pretty good. The album is more of the same. It's easy to get sick of her voice pretty quickly. I bought the album, ripped it, and ended up playing a couple of times in the car and promptly gave it to a friend.

But that's just me. Guess I'm not as easy to please.

Or I have better taste.{#Sleep}

Or maybe you're a wee bit presumptuous

sounds like ingrid michaelson
Hooray new music for me. Thanks Bill.
I like this song. It is catchy.

The swing beat makes it sound like something from Grease.

gosh, this song is lush and pretty!

I honestly don't care what color her hair is, I love most of this cd, this song included.
Obviously she can bang on a piano, too:
this sounds just like that other pop tune she does.

Z, thanks for the post. I was wondering the same thing...what a beautiful song. But I too have fallen into that trap.

I have tickets to the Doug Fir show!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!
She and her band-mates were on Letterman not long ago...NICE! and I thought I'd heard her voice before...sure enough, on RP! You gotta like that! and THIS!
I am picked by this song

My upload and i so agree with you
Ah, so it's you we have to thank for the A Fine Frenzy songs. Well done! Despite the resentful comment of the Princess of Puke, I think Alison Sudol's music would be excellent even if she were as plain as homemade sin. I listened to her entire album the other day and was struck by its musical and lyrical maturity. If she can do this at age 22, her future looks bright indeed. I don't use the word pop pejoratively. Sure, there are plenty of insubstantial trifles and outright dreck that fall under that category, but good pop is good music and good music is why we listen to RP.

Except for some reason now I think it's an 8/10. WTF She has us under her spell... aaarrrgh!
Let's face it. This is pop. Fairly good pop, but pop nevertheless. And most of us who have found our way to RP are not typical pop listeners. Yet there are times when pop appeals to most of us. So I guess its all about what kind of mood we're in as to whether pop songs, even good ones, will appeal to us. At least that's my theory.
I'm sure if she were not so cute, the song wouldn't be!!!! I'm not saying I think the song is cute, but everyone else thinks so.
By the way I think it's as good a time as any to say it's really nice hearing a new artist who has all the passion and drive and inspiration to make big waves without any of the success to go to her head (yet). Lets enjoy it while it's fresh..

What? An entire page of song comments about this lovely song with not one picture of the lovely songstress? Well then....
Since many of her lyrics refer to the natural world and most of the photos I've seen of her are outdoors, I think Alison must be a nature girl.

I bought the CD, but I have to say I'm disappointed with her enunciation. It's darned hard to tell what she is singing on the first 1/2 of the CD. The later tracks, like this one, are clearer. I still like her, but I'm not sure if I'm that taken with her style. I like to know what the song is about.

Get a grip.
A barbie doll with dyed hair and a great voice. Yea, she will do!!!!
At its heart this song sounds like something you'd hear in a sappy musical. Can't you just see her spinning around holding his letter jacket and singing out the window into the night?

Very solid music throughout the album (melodies, lyrics, etc) with a number of standouts. Plus, Alison's lovely voice throughout!!
...not to mention her stunnin' good looks an' her hair, woo! yea, let's mention it!
I LOVE this song - Alison is sooo talented....
Quite nice and simple
This was a recent freebie song at Starbucks. They were giving away "mp3s of the month." I was very pleased to tell my wife (who loves the song) that I heard it first on Radio Paradise.
OK, I take back the Fiona thing. I'm liking all the tracks from this CD I've heard on RP. Not weighty, but nothing wrong with that.
Pick me!

picked up a promotional cd/dvd from barnes and nobles cool music videos not overdone simple i think I'm starting to like them...her..
There are moments where it's quite nice, but many other where it's too heavy handed. I'll start out with a 5 and see if it grows on me.
I would like to sleep with this lovely red head. Music is okay.
Looked up to see what Feist was up to. Huh? Well, I guess there are differences as it goes on.
woo! you picked me!
i thought it was eisley
She's as cute as she sounds.
Did she change the album cover? If so, much improved.
Feisty! I like her.
Sweet Maybe not wholly original, but nevertheless pleasant.
Heaven MUSt be missing an angel
Saw A Fine Frenzy open for Brandi Carlisle this past weekend. That girl can sing, and WHAT stage PRESENCE! Definitely one to see live.

This is really lame. It's a 7 for now. I can't wait to hear it again.

I just realized it like it better if I don't pay too close attention to it. In other words, GREAT background music here.

Eh? She looks pretty fine to me. Can't say I'm a huge fan of her singing though.
I'm glad Ms. Sudol chose making music over modeling.
The chorus is good but the rest kinda hurts my ears. And I'm going to be SOOO sick of this song when it becomes the commercial-backing song for some ABC drama series.
I can't put my finger on it, but there is something really enjoyable about this song.
Ooohhh...when will fall get here?
Pure Pop heaven, my upload, but really it's good... perhaps it's not going to change the world, well OK it's never going to change the world, but it makes me smile and I might change the world...
I really like this song...but does the world really need another Fiona Apple?
Sounds like a Sorority House theme song... not for me
Even better on the second listen.
Pretty face, nice voice. The music does nothing for me.
I love it when a young girl makes it without necessarily selling a sexy image. Another is Kaci Brown.. great stuff
A bit repetitive, and I dont care for the , "bah bup bup.." background vocals. 6 - Pretty Good
very beautiful (voice...face...)
Saw her performance last night- Atlanta, Tabernacle- great show, sounds as good LIVE- 22 years old and kickin butt- love it.
Free single on iTunes this week only!
Nice. Sounds like Julianne Reagan (All About Eve).
Pick me! Pick me!
Apparently she\'s on tour with Rufus Wainwright. Sounds nice, too. 7 for now.. I need to hear more.
she\'s HOTTTTT!!
another sexy voice ..... hummmm Oscar
