Please slow it down
Theres a secret magic past world
That you only notice when youre looking back at it
And all I wanna do is turn around

I'm going down to sleep
On the bottom of the ocean
'Cause I couldnt let go of the water
At the setting sun

Passing white daisies, taking turns
Close the door, walk to the street
Catching raindrops on your tongue and for a minute it all stops
But it wont last man, just a passing moment gone

Please slow it down
Theres a secret place that I know
If I could a dig a grave, Id then climb underground for good
And all I wanna do is turn around

I'm going down to sleep
On the bottom of the ocean
'Cause I couldnt let go of the water
At the setting sun

Passing white daisies, taking turns
All those evenings on the back deck of our first apartment
They meant everything but the wind just carried them off
And you cant go back now, just a passing moment gone

Please slow it down
Theres a secret magic past world
That you only notice when youre looking back at it
And all I wanna do is turn around

I'm going down to sleep
On the bottom of the ocean
'Cause I couldnt let go of the water
At the setting sun
'Cause I couldnt let go of the passing moment gone

Because of this guy I too had pee-pee in my eyes as I read along. Especially because I am currently at a crossroads and can't decide which way to go.
Love the acoustic guitar, the harmonies, the nuances....excellent composition!
7 -> 8, because I finally read the lyrics and they almost made me cry at work.
Now that's what I'm talking about.   Great song!!!

I thought that, too!
Heeeeeyyyyyyyyy  Rockyyyyyyy!!  Awesome song! "All those emails on the back deck of our first apartment."  He must have had a laptop.

This is helping me recover after back-to-back Neko Case/Dengue Fever...

Very nice lyrics & here they are:

Lame
It's a 2, a definite happy clappy 2.  Sorry, just not in teh mood for this after the awesome music of the last 2 hours.
Yep, Elliot Smith...jinx!   It's a sweet song to me.  *sigh*
I can't count the number of times I have heard this song. Every time, I wish it wasn't over.  I can't think of too many songs I would say that about.  For me it's a combination of lyrics that remind me of a very trying time in my life, and what I think is superb means of expressing it musically. If that makes any sense.

I was just thinking that! {#High-five}

I like it!..although I thought it was Elliot Smith at first...he was good too though.
Nice! Very nice!
He sounds a lot like I'd imagine Brad Pitt would if he were singing/could sing. Which is only momentarily distracting-- a good listen otherwise.
Most Excellent.
good morning to you, too!
