New album coming in November, Blackfield V. Full blown collaboration between Wilson and Geffen, like the good old days... and Alan Parsons is producing it! It's probably going to be good.

I really like that: "cerebrally accessible music." Will use. So dreading that same proverbial long drive (away) from home myself. Coming up too soon. *Sigh.* But I know the music will all be cerebrally accessible... for me and for the kid. Like mother like daughter.

Heard this one first on the RP Listener Review Channel a few years back and liked it enough to get it for my "Radio Paradise Favorites" playlist, even though it wasn't technically on the playlist at the time. A few like songs I got never made it to the RP library or did and aren't ever played. So good to hear this one now—I feel redeemed!

Good to know!  Thanks for sharing Deadwing.  So....  If this had been produced as a Porcupine Tree song, do you think Wilson would have spiced it up with some heavier riffs?  As is, it is more accessible relative to standard Porcupine Tree fare.

 

Great song.  8 on first recognition.

This actually IS a Porcupine Tree song that got cut from Deadwing. It even has Gavin Harrison on drums and either Richard Barbieri or Colin Edwin also- can't remember which one off the top of my head. Wilson added Aviv in later on.

Great song though- the lyrics are quite clever and it's very catchy- I'm thrilled that Bill finally played it!
