As long as Bill does not follow with "Funkytown" I suppose this is acceptable....
Some songs are just an icon for the decade. In the 60's it was Revolution. 70's, Stayin' Alive. In the 80's, Pop Muzik deinitely gets my vote.

No, that was Murray Head from the Chess soundtrack. IMHO, this has more affinity with "Ghostbusters." BTW, I believe "One Night in Bangkok" is a gem...
Ahhh, the guy who also gave us that gem One Night In Bangkok...

Or I need a new drugYep! There's a song that is gonna be stuck in the old noggin. And only because I liked it the first time it came around.
what surprises me based on the comments is that this song is in monthly rotation.
Ghostbusters! ;)

I remember this from the day, but now marvel at their genius, some uploader's, and B&R's for hearing it again after all these years.
Shooby-dooby-doo-wop ...
Love it, Bill!

Way to go, RP —- today's nugget is a winner.
TOTAL earworm territory. I'll be scrubbing my brain all day now.
But completely worth it.

Nostalgia for sure. And why not?
My older brother had the 45. And yes, I was way under 10 years old. Life was simpler then. It's good to remember how simple it was.

ERG! Barfo!! Wasn't this bad enough as the theme song for that VH1 Pop Up music video show on VH1 years back?! Anyone else remember that show? Liked the show, hated the song!
Thank you RP for dusting this one off! What a great tune.

Hahahaha, this was my favorite song back in 1979... when I was 8!
Fun to hear every few years.
A good reminder where we've been, and never want to go again!

never thought I'd ever hear it again! funny, silly song but not necessarily a "good" song.
I had hoped I'd never hear this song again...
Catchy tune! Never thought I'd hear it here.
Oh god no ... he didn't just play this. Unreal.
This is the first piece of music I ever bought myself. How embarassing.
EDIT: Is there something wrong with the emoticons? I keep getting broken ones
EDIT2: Apparently the RP forum emoticons don't like Google Chrome
