I contacted him last October to see if was playing near the Belguim France border during the Christmas season. His voice is sooo unique. This and Majesty are maybe favourite songs while I am hitting 70+. I have been a major rock lover since 1964. 

Brilliant voice and music structure. 

Never got to see him last Christmas. 

Important to see him live before I walk out of life.

I see what you did there... Lyle Lovett's "If I Had A Boat" followed by "This  Old House."  Lyle covered  "Step Into This House" and named an album after this Guy Clark Song. Madrugada does not do the same song, but it's evocative.

Hey espheim, get used to the fact that music is universal and it will be universally critiqued; opera to vernacular music. This is a great song though and Frode's voice sustains it.

Oops.

First couple of measures had me thinking All Along the Watchtower. 

Couldn't help it!  The rest certainly does not sound like All Along the Watchtower in the slightest.

I would have touble pegging it to another song.

I hear the Natalie flavor that you speak of, I love 10,000 Maniacs.  :)  but this Madrugada fooled me for a moment, I thought of Eddy Vedder... Into the Wild kinda vibe.
