A yellow moon gives away the night
To morning sun that watches us,
You lay your hand in mine
It's good, so good
Feel the starving light of this day
Can't you?
We know it's good
Over the cities under the stars
Through the volcano surf a river of fire
Hunting with tigers in the grass in the fields
Surfing on rainbows climbing the trees
Winter is never...
Grown up
Haunting me, I've punched a hole in time
On the run, forever from
The whispered words of night
It's good, so good
Feel the starving light on your face
Can't you?
You know it's good
Comic book heroes, hula hoop girls
Pedal to metal, language of birds
Fire the rocket, your chemistry set
Holding on tight while winning a bet
Winter is never...
The eye of the wheel is fixed on you
Your war is fought out and chewed
Draw the curtains hear her sing
You know the song has wings
Winter is never...
Great song.
I ditto the Marillion comment. Too bad they don't get any airplay on RP.
It be nice to hear Neverland once in a while.
William, that would be a nice segue. Winter Is Never to Neverland
Bananarama. Swoon!
and the Cranberries
Believe I'm seeing you later tonight, or your progeny, that is. Harrison Ford must be the oldest ex-carpenter around (he said, setting himself up for all the superstitious comebacks)
You forgot CREAM, KORN, SMASHING PUMPKINS, BLACK EYES PEAS, VANILLA ICE, SALT AND PEPPA, HUMBLE PIE, ICE T, ICE CUBE, PHISH, LIMP BIZKIT, STRAWBERRY ALARM CLOCK, BLUE OYSTER CULT, PEACHES AND HERB, SPICE GIRLS, BLIND MELON, BANANARAMA, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART, ELECTRIC PRUNES, THE SUGAR CUBES, THE MEAT PUPPETS.......there's probably more, that's all i can think of now.

what's with the shouting
I thought it was a Radiohead tune I had never heard... Quite nice, though.
From the Wikipedia entry:
Their music has been compared to A-ha, Radiohead, Marillion, and Porcupine Tree.[2]
Fixed. Though it looked pretty tasty :-). Vegan, too!
A good gazpacho is a wonder. The band is cool too - check out their song "Black Lily".

and maybe a Spoon for the Gazpacho....
Reading this made my 8 go up to a 9.
My condolences. May your friend rest in peace
and just when I was getting a little bored with RP.
( I listen a lot ! )
Great timing - Thanks Bill!
Metoo!

Flying Burrito Brothers!

Not the mini-link on the web player. Pretty funny tho!

Agreed! Could barely tell where they meshed. Kudos indeed!!

Edit: Nope. Just Travis.
How about some Spoon so I don't have to slurp my soup.
But slurping hot soup out on the street like so much liquid crack is perfectly acceptable.
Ha ha. Someone else who loves that show like I do. "Just do it" ....
Alongside thine cardinal trinity you may get lucky with rosemary.
I ditto the Marillion comment. Too bad they don't get any airplay on RP.

Yes Bill: MARILLION!
Play Marillion please!
(But Gazpacho too..)

I renew my objection.
"Kind of agree. But they set themselves up for that response with the name. Is there a soup that is served tepid?"
Revenge soup?
and the same again for the 17th Jan 2013..do we think Bill has been caught in a loop?
Let the man have a life! He repeats playlists less than my national station.
Edit: Nope. Just Travis.

Not bad but needs a bit of oomph.
Marillion meets Muse is what I'm hearing. I wish RP played Marillion. :(
Not bad but needs a bit of oomph.
......it´s too bad that the singer has a bit too little charisma....
Edit: Nope. Just Travis.
For a minute there I thought I was just hearing things...
Heh. Change for a nickle?
Quite Likable!
PS - Go up to an 8!
My first association was Freddy Mercury, in his latter days.
But yes, there is some resemblance to Thom York, and the music fits.
The song is not nearly as good as either of them, though, but it sounds promising.
This one came up yesterday morning as I was running. The tempo matches my stride perfectly. I love when that happens. I get a feeling of running through the woods on a cool night — with nothing but moonlight.
(Not that I've ever done that — it just feels good to imagine doing it!)
With dogging being such a popular pastime these days, if you go down to the woods tonight you're sure of a big surprise :o)
great.
Likewise for me!

Well, Meatloaf, Bread, Cranberries, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hot Chocolate, Vanilla Fudge, Lemonheads, Cake, Cracker, and Lambchop were all taken already.

Me too. Added to the mute list immediately. Disgusting.
That is disgusting, but at least you admit it. Once you get by your irrational dislike of a song because the singer sounds a little bit like another brilliant singer you don't like, I think you'll find this is actually a pretty strong tune.

Ianmoff,
I agree with you. At first I thought it was Steve Hogarth on vocals. Still miss the early Marillion days with Fish however. His 13th Star CD has some good stuff as well. But I like these guys..

No, I'm hearing it too. I like it!
LOVE the humour - not-a-lot will get that but I do hehe - superb ;-)

Well, don't forget Jose Gonzalez (he might be Swedish though, and is a solo artist).
add Madrugada to that list.

This song's really growing on me, truly wintry and spare, and in that sense very Scandinavian :)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Sorry, but i thought that was really hilarious.... HAHA
As for this song, wow, REALLY nice....

Now please excuse me while I look for my lost tickets.
I wouldn't mind betting they are named after the Marillion track Gazpacho - they sound very similar to current day Marillion as well.
No more Easter, Hooks In You, Script, Fugazi, Garden Party, Market Square Heroes, Grendel, Incommunicado, Sugar Mice . . .
Oh well
Slainte Mhath
That's what I just asked myself....
I like the cold soup better than the band.
Nice song ... if the guy would stop singing. He sings terribly off-key.
Yummmmm. Gazpacho.
