When you come 'round
I fall out with myself
It's not my fault
That I can't stop
And I am riddled with doubt
And the streets drip with sin
Drip all around
So I can begin again
I do propose
But not in a way you would like
I've suffered enough
As the dark burns my skin
Upon the ground
All cradled in glass broken but tough
I jump in a hole deep within
Step it off
Step it off
'Cause I am coming in
Shake it off
Shake it off
'Cause I'm stuck in a whirlwind
Take it low
Take it low
And wonder how it is
Ooh oh woooh
And the sky is falling
Upon the sun
It's cracking and all dust
The earth is gone
Already dripping with blood
And I'm at one with the fact
That it's ruined in rubble
And I don't want to live alone.
Step it off
Step it off
'Cause I am coming in
Shake it off
Shake it off
'Cause I'm stuck in a whirlwind
Take it low
Take it low
And wonder how it is
Ooh oh woooh
'Cause the sky is falling
Step it off
Step it off
'Cause I am coming in
Shake it off

Waiting for Bruno Mars to cover this song.
Breathy, cerebral, panicky, and frantic. As has been noted, it is reminiscent of Imogen Heap; yet, an almost King Crimson soundscape

Are those the correct lyrics?
Fixed now.
Seems to be lyrics from 'Train To Nowhere'

Seems like a tepid version of Imogen Heap.
not my taste!
it was very nice of Taylor Swift to cover this...
All THIS CRAP about coffee, what happened with the music? I rated at 8, nice voice, good lyrics & if this is what is played on radio I'd listen! To each his own.

Thanks! That really made me laugh out loud. As a caffeine worshiper I would say that it definitely counts. . .
I gave up caffeine for good 4 weeks ago. Now, I am less of a jerk.

I like coffee so thick and potent you have to snip it off with scissors.

I like coffee so strong that you could drink it or pitch a roof with it!
I admit it....I like a hearty french roast in the morning like some people, straight up and no dairy products, either. I forgot what song this is.

This is a cool tune. I like the chorus a lot....unfortunately this falls into the category of 'get sick of this quick'. I haven't yet, so we'll see.

It's $30.18 now on Amazon. I buy Cds, preferring the album experience to shuffled MP3 playlists, but what I usually do is put a bunch of all-time greats in the cart, then buy whatever is under ten dollars. A lot of the time the best music is the least expensive.

Why can't people come up with better descriptions of songs they don't like? "It sucks hard." 'Scuse me, but isn't that usually a GOOD thing? And if this doesn't refer to sex, come up with something better and more pertinent to MUSIC.
I need a couple more listens to this in order to reach the "IT SUCKS HARD" realm. Or not. Not rating it, not giving it that horrible puke-emoticon that is a lame way of expressing disgust without actually having to SAY anything about why the song is bad.
Honestly, RPeeps - Great minds here! Let's don't rely on an emoticon to convey what we think about a song. (Stingray, you're excluded here. We all know how you feel. We just don't understand WHY. )
I will shut up now.
I think Zipper got the point across without being so wordy and critical of the opinion of others
Although I need to give a few more listens, I tend to agree with Zipper

Nice use of echo and strings to set the mood - I'd like to here more from her.
Not bad, overall. To my ears, seems to be in the same general sonic space as Imogen Heap, although admittedly not nearly as creative. I enjoyed it overall...not sure if I would buy an entire album of her stuff, but I guess that depends on what the rest of her stuff is like.
