The fire, the wine, the bed and you
In this crimson light I find the truth
And truth is like a punch or two
It hits you hard it knocks you through
So I ... get on the road and ride to you
Kiss like a fight that neither wins
One tender payment for our sins
You are the drug that I can't quit
Your perfect chaos is a perfect fit
So I ... get on the road and ride to you
From broken farm to broken farm
The engine noise like an alarm
It breathes a thunder in my soul
Begins this race through the dustbowl
So I ... get on the road and ride to you
The wheel it settles in my hands
This is the measure of the man
I point the car at north at you
My Route has scarred the country through
In this crimson light I find the truth
And truth is like a punch or two
It hits you hard it knocks you through
So I ... get on the road and ride to you
Kiss like a fight that neither wins
One tender payment for our sins

Good Lord. Kill me now.

Nice.
I'm thinking this song should have a music video with the man and woman looking up and past each other into foggy white light, while blossoms fall from cherry trees around them.

Interpol meets Snow Patrol with Kate Bush on the vocals.
...ear-catchingly intriguing...

Agreed.
"Look, kids, Big Ben, Parliament."
Hmm. I'm feeling that this is somewhat a worse version of Set the Fire to the 3rd Bar.
No more than a 5..

I'm OK with his voice, but her voice does nothing for this harmony
Harmonies are always appreciated

It feels like this song just doesn't get going (atleast so far)

Snow Patrol was who I was thinking of, well I guess they can't steal their own sound, I'll up my vote one.
It's a side project of Snow Patrol, according to Bill's comment on the other track from this CD.
And when it did it sounds like another band I can't think of at the moment
