This is not bad, and I kinda like it. Yet it seems the members of Tangerine Dream are classically trained, maybe, and so a bit of angst seems to be missing.
Covers always take a lot of heat on this forum but I think this is not bad. Might be that you just need a better sound system if you don't like it. Just kidding.
It's a good tune and an interesting interpretation. The vocals are clever and the guitar is actually quite good although I did get a flash of Eddie Van Halen towards the end...

The 80's arpeggiator and redonkulous guitar does not a song make.
From one of the biggest Bowie fans in the world I must say......I kind of like this. The back ground vocal sounds somewhat like Bowie.
Neat
I LIKE :) ........great sound and recording ( if you have a good sound system ).....liked enough to buy CD
omg.
one of the crappiest covers i have ever heard. a musical worst case scenario of sorts.
please: NEVER again!

Confsed at first. Then intrigued. Was listening on the desktop speakers. Switched to the quad Bose 901's. Ended up being blown away. This one needs power, demands LOUD!
Interesting Cover
Ack.

And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much, she knows
The second line here is sung by Bowie alone, in a delivery that conveys to the listener an intimacy and a palpable sense of loss between Maj. Tom and his wife. The Tangerine Dream version has none of that, and when this version comes to that line here, I am expecting it, but I there's nothing. Just the same remote distance throughout the song.
And I think that's the problem with this cover - it's too impersonal and remote. and I just don't get any feeling for the singer's addiction.
