Woh!

Ternheim really makes the title into one helluva hook.   

BillG explained albeit briefly his song selection process on one of neighbouring FM stations in California and from what I recall, I can easily see him choosing this song.

FWIW, already had it rated 9.  Own Separation Road, might have get this CD too.

And yes, you're right, the US consumes and produces an extraordinary amount of polluting forms of energy. Things are changing slowly here, Stingray, but they are changing. Pretty soon China will overtake us in terms of carbon emissions.

I need to confess what I did not realize back in the day when Ravi Shankar first appeared on the western music scene:  this is an extraordinarily gifted musical family.  This piece is haunting, a marvelous merging of Classical Indian and western popular music.  An 8, most def.

One of the most haunting soulful lilting voices out there; like the sweet-flowing honey we had from Olivia N-J Back In The Day!

(and reminds me of the unforgettable class when Stan Slaughter, our amazing 9th Grade Science Teacher, showed us on the oscilloscope how during her "Mellow" vibrato the waves appeared to flutter and then begin to flow backwards...making those gratifying spinal shivers practically visible, even if far from fully explained...)

My friend always says RP starts slowing down around 3:30pm Pacific Time and he wonders what goes in in Paradise to bring this about. I don't know what the deal is but he's right - this is the time of day that most of us on the West Coast need a pick me upper, not an acoustic soft medley.  Please, up the tempo!
