Seasons come and go
Fade until tomorrow
Seasons come and go
And leave that smile away
They say, leave that smile away
You can come around but never stay
Everybody look
Everybody seem
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Wheels don't work, car won't drive
Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
One naked man
One naked scheme
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Everybody look
Everybody glide
Glide along and wave goodbye
Seasons come and go
Fade until tomorrow
Seasons come and go
Through the hills and valleys
Someone calls my name
Opens up the sky
Takes me off my train
Everybody look
Everybody seem
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Wheels don't work, car won't drive
Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
One naked man
One naked scheme
Faded into a bad, bad dream
Everybody look
Everybody glide
Glide along and wave goodbye
Everybody look
Everybody seem
Faded into a bad, bad dream
(Repeat to end)

Catchy tune...At first, I thought the singer was Paul Weller...still pretty good tune. Many Thx to RP...
Yay! Hit's me like an old friend I haven't heard from in a long time. Horns, tight guitars and drums. I remember in the late 90's listening to them and how different it sounded from the typical 90's christian rock of the time.
I feel like I haven't heard this on the main mix in years. But I'm glad to hear it today. Thanks B&R!
excruciating
Checked out "The Other Country", that's pretty Country. I like this song better. Yes, does sound similar to Tracy Chapman, though higher voices even lol. I love Tracy Chapman.
Sounds like Rob Thomas IMHO. Nice though.

Underrated band. Thanks, Bill, for playing Burlap to Cashmere.
Actually at first I thought it was Angie Aparo. First hearing, like it.
These guys pride themselves as LIVE band. Studio albums are really good and grow on you with each listen. Always love to see the full band, but we are fortunate to get to see Steven and Johnny play every week as a duet...these guys are phenomenal musicians. Need to play some of their other stuff too - old and new. Santorini has some insane guitar that Johnny just hammers out. Orchestrated Love Song, The Other Country are really good tracks. An old tune that is hard to find but worth the look and listen is "From Above".
bumped it from 8 to 9
Tracy Chapman?? Dude singing sounds like a dude... Did I miss something?
OK, similar tempo, chords, etc... I get it...
But, you shouldn't be disrespecting Tracy Chapman like that... ;-)

Nice song, but I my personal favorite off the album is "The Other Country".
With all those fading bad dreams, I keep waiting for steel wheels that still ain't heard the news ...
..doesn't seem to come to the forefront when it rolls thru..rate a 5 for now..
Good song... I like the version on his solo album better.
...i need to pay more attention to this one the next time it comes up: burlap to cashmere are always intriguing as a casual background listen; the question is whether their music stands up to closer scrutiny...
Quite likable for now. Leaning towards a higher rating.
Can't give it more than a 4.
It's nice how this song snuck up on me. I already like this group but I'm not in possession of the album so I didn't recognize the song. It just sort of seeped into my consciousness and I had to look and see who it was. A nice surprise and evidence that purchase of the album cannot be far behind!
Cool in a rockin out hill billy sorta way, oh...I was first!
This song’s lyrics describe and are sung and played with the fervour, that perfectly describe the feelings in this, “new/old” TRUMP AMERICA.
MAGA > MAGOTS < Make America GO Totalitarian State
MAGA > MAAD < Make America A Dictatorship
My condolences to all of you, from your mate here in the Great White North. 😢
