You know I'm tired, I got a fevered brow
You know I'd change if I were with her now
You gave me drugs you said 'd cure my ills
They may cure yours but mine are with me still
If I were with her now
If I were with her now
If I were with her now
You know I'd change if I were with her now
You gave me drugs you said 'd cure my ills
They may cure yours but mine are with me still
If I were with her now
If I were with her now
If I were with her now

I walked into a student residence back in 1992 to score some pot. As I walked into the cloudy living room and stepped over several worse for wear students I heard this LP playing on a Pink Triangle record deck. I bought it ASAP, took it home and dropped it onto my Rega Planar 3. It's still there in the collection but now playing on a Linn Sondek LP 12. One of the best LP's I have ever heard and i became a lifelong fan. The best work he ever did. It will live with me forever.
Crazy that this album was released over 30 years ago. This song could easily have come out in 2024/2025 and fit right in with the current oeuvre.
utterly sublime album
Now I know where Underworld’s 8 Ball came from!
I like trance and related genres. Repetitive is fine. Dull -- not so much. This is dull.

I believe this music is sometimes dubbed 'trance'. Ergo, trances can be induced by repetition. These days, it may be that a lot of people need to be entranced. This particular track or act will not replace, say, the Allman Bros. or Porcupine Tree but I don't mind an occasional trance.
Very Annoying repeated sound...
PSD button!

By the way, calling Spiritualized repetitive is a bit like accusing Jake Shimabukuro of playing the ukulele.
I hope we're going to get the rest of the album too, sometime.

Not the kind of sound one hears everyday. At least, not me. I like it, but it takes some getting used to. Definitely a track for smoking something hallucinatory, if so inclined. It's a 7. Play it again, Bill, if heard by me I could give it a raise.
Weird. I like it. Seems to go nicely with the cover art.
