It was a pretty cool tune, considering the C64's limited sound capabilities; and it kinda resembled this song, mostly due to the rhythmic string bassline.
"Vitamin String Quartet, or VSQ, is not a string quartet in the traditional sense.
Rather, VSQ is a series of string quartet projects developed and produced by CMH Label Group, an independent record company based in Los Angeles. The CMH team works with an ever-evolving cast of string players, arrangers, producers, and other creatives to bring each project to life.
The series began unofficially in 1999, when CMH began releasing string quartet tribute albums on affiliate Vitamin Records. A few years down the road, this successful album set became known as “Vitamin String Quartet” or "VSQ".
Since its inception, the series has released 300+ albums and amassed 1 billion+ streams and 2.75 million monthly listeners on Spotify. It has garnered multiple Billboard chartings and has been regularly featured in numerous hit TV shows."
I don't know much about them, but apparently they've released over 50 albums.
Holy discography Batman! Here's the first two paragraphs from the Wiki page....261 albums! And I've never heard of them. huh...I have some checking out to do
Vitamin String Quartet (VSQ) is a musical group from Los Angeles, California, that is widely known for its series of tribute albums to rock and pop acts. Their albums are released through Vitamin Records and primarily performed by a string quartet, though other instruments have been used. "Vitamin String Quartet is about applying rock n' roll attitude to classical technique," says Tom Tally, a violist and arranger who has performed on and produced over fifty Vitamin String Quartet albums.
Their albums honor a wide variety of genres, including pop and rock, metal, emo, punk, techno, country, and hip-hop, and a wide variety of groups, such as Senses Fail, Simple Plan, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Offspring, Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, the Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, System of a Down, the Killers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Linkin Park, Muse, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Slayer, Adele, Lady Gaga and many more. Their discography includes 261 albums.
They've been busy
"Their discography includes over 400 albums."
If you do Spotify (Premium) look for them there. It's ridiculous. I love putting on their tributes to Tool and A Perfect Circle and Radiohead and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg while entertaining my In-Laws and other folks their age (70s). They think I'm all classy and I'm really "rolling down the street smokin indo, sippin on Gin and julce"
That is super hi-larious! Thanks for the laugh :-)
Sounds a lot like a string quartet version of ..."Game of Thrones" opening music.
Thanks RP. I should send you some dough. I will when I 'm not dangerously broke. Meanwhile, keep these fabulous tracks rolling.

They Also Do Rock Music. Classical music just got more awesome.
...moby cover!..
...funny how the melody line sounds like transcribed vocals in this arrangement, despite the original being an instrumental...i've always thought moby's music would sound much better on real instruments, but in this case I prefer the original...
