So you said today, it's not so good
You worked yourself too hard
Put in everything mama
Which I do respect
But in turn you're on the floor
Give yourself a break
Don't get caught
For if you do
You'll be the first to know…be the first to know
So in just a day, it changes fast
Being in control, to at the mercy of your heart
Take it on board and just live it as it comes
You're so strong
Give yourself a break
Don't get caught
For if you do
You'll be the first to know
Give yourself a break
Don't get caught
For if you do
Be the first to know
Be the first to know
Listen to your heart
don't let it go out the window
Listen to your heart
don't let it go out the window
Give yourself a break
Don't get caught
For if you do
You'll be the first to know
Give yourself a break
Don't get caught
Doesn't help it,
wasn't here to,
fight the notion
For if you do
Be the first to know
You'll be the first to know,
don't let it go out the window
Doesn't help it,
wasn't here to,
fight the notion

everyone wants to sound like Flo or London Grammar - I find it a bit redundant
Sounds very like London Grammar. Which is a good thing.
must have more!
The tone of this track is definitely London Grammar-ish, but the vocals are more like The Staves, no? Compare these here vocals to Blood I Bled. ... and not just because there are multiple voices (2 for these ladies, 3 for The Staves).

London Grammar connection?

Let this go out the window. Just chanting more or less to some randomly generated tune on a synthesizer.
Very nice. But this cut, anyway, sounds like Feist, Part 2, and I'm not so fond of her sound either.
Very good on the ears, certainly a similarity to London Grammar (who have posted a first listen of a track from their new album, not yet caught that so thought this was it!)

2nd time I've heard this on RP of course, but I'm not quite ready to rate just yet.
Nice to hear some "indie"pop on RP

It's like every time I hear Karen Peris from The Innocence Mission I think for a second it's Harriet Wheeler from The Sundays.
So true; every time I have to look to see which group it is. Happily, I enjoy all of these.

instant yes please.
Australian sound, I like it!
Nice
Inevitable comparisons, but my ears enjoy it anyway. If anything, I prefer the backing on this stuff to LG's more minimalist styling. Straight 7 out of the box, but may raise a bit.

Yes, I thought exactly the same thing. Very strong overlap melodically and harmonically. Nice song, though. I don't suppose we should be too surprised. The number of ways a female vocalist can sound is large but finite. It's like every time I hear Karen Peris from The Innocence Mission I think for a second it's Harriet Wheeler from The Sundays.
