I'm a dealin' man, still dealing, yeah
I'll go keep on dealing till I find myself a bed
I got to stop dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down
Well I done stopped dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down
Raised in the country, got up raised in town
Got two kids and they're all look like mine
I got to stop dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down
Yeah, I got to stop dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down
I'm dealing darling, by some other deck
Seem like somebody gonna take my shit
I got to stop dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down
Well, I done stopped dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down
Born yesterday and not a day before
Here you come knocking at my door
Done stop dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down
Well I done stopped dealing, I believe I'll ride 'em on down

Oh stop Merobreno … bands are allowed to cover their motivation
The telephone is ringing.
Who is it?
The Stones phoning it in.

Good! But, not one of their best tunes!
Funny story about this album. I have side C and D. My wife gave me the Mark Knopfler double album Tracker for Christmas. First disc is Mark but the second one - though labelled correctly - is the second disc of this Stones ablum. Both were recorded at Mark's studio. Haven't found it mentioned on Discogs or anywhere so I think I got a one-off.
Um . . . Dust My Broom?
RIP Charlie
The simplest kit for some of the best sounds, RIP Charlie
RIP Charlie!
While he's riding 'em on down, is he dusting his broom too?
Did we forget that the Rolling Stones were a blues band to begin with, named for a Muddy Waters lyric? Keith can hold his own with all the old blues masters and Mick can f***ing play the harmonica!

Well except for Dirty Work and Undercover that weren't thought highly of, or even Goat's Head Soup. There were decent tracks on all of them though.
Actually, all 3 of those albums were warmly received by critics at the time and allmusic, even now, rates them highly. Undercover and Dirty Work suffer because neither album was toured and because of the internal conflicts within the band at the time. However, both have some great tracks on them (Too Much Blood, Undercover, Back to Zero, She Was Hot, It Must Be Hell, Winning Ugly, and Harlem Shuffle still hold up for me). Goats Head Soup is a superb album that effectively connects Exile with It's Only Rock and Roll. Star Star, Dancing with Mr D, Silver Train, Heartbreaker are among the most iconic Stones songs. This was also the high point of Mick Taylor's contributions to the band.

Saw this was the Stones, and thought it was a deep cut from old. Turns out it's a new track from the Stones. That's pretty much an oxymoron.
Great album overall, would like to hear various track on RP

Their most "recent" effort, prior to this one, was 2005' A Bigger Bang which received a postitive critical reception and went platinum in the US supported by a 90 show sold out world wide tour. Voodoo Lounge in 94 and Bridges to Babylon in 97 were similarly rated, reviewed, and toured.
While some folks like to color their opinions, based upon the band members age and/or comparisons to legendary work from a different era, they have never received reviews that were not "respectable". Nor have they turned out sub-par material. Everything they do is The Rolling Stones. There is only one. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Bill, you're playing this song too much... it's not that good and to hear it daily is a downer :(
4 times in the last 30 days, mdfergy. That's once a week.

Just another ole average barroom blues band. Not sure they'll ever make it.

Your ear is broken. I'd, get that checked out.
If I want the good version I turn on "Dust My Broom", so what's the point of this geriatric effort?

And it is really a treat to hear Mick playing the harmonica on this album, he does not get the credit he deserves for that aspect of his talent. Cool.

Yep and getting respectable reviews, unlike much of their recent efforts.

...quite impressive for a singer being 71 of age when they recorded that album! Thumbs up!

Mick just did not have that gruff street sound he needed for blues. He went to a private boys' school. Not many blues singers coming out of the South went to a private boys' school. I think they handled him well, but must have said behind their hands "pansy boy."

It is an whole album of traditional blues songs and is a tribute to the Chicago bluesmen that inspired the band. Many of these tracks were played by the band in its very early days.

Sounds OK if a bit of a traditional blues rif. Has anyone else heard anything about this album and the overall feel of it?

10. Before Bill finished his intro. 😄 Brilliant! And perfect RP blues/rock era/s full circle post-Trump, Christmas night fare.
Followed by Bill Withers Use Me.
!!!! heaven on earth !!!!
I gotta pick up this new Stones record. Thanks for putting it in the mix, RP.

Bluesy little number. About time they made their bass player a full member of the band.
And you can't keep a good band down.
