You know that I can't love you more
You know that I can't love you more

Silver tongue, they'll soon be gone
When the sunlight hits the room
Lay down with them if you want
Watch their breath and feel the cold

Raise your hand, bite your tongue
Conversation is over and done
Will you let them out?
Will you let them in?
Will you ever know when it's the tipping point, the tipping point?

So who's that ghost knocking at my door?
You know that I can't love you more
What's that shape climbing over my wall?
You know that I can't love you more

You know that I can't love you more

Winter done, they'll soon be gone
From this unforgiving place
To that vague and distant void
Where the sunlight splits the I

Life is cruel, life is tough
Life is crazy, then it all turns to dust
Will you let them out?
Will you let them in?
Will you ever know when it's the tipping point, the tipping point, the tipping point, the tipping point, the tipping point?

So who's that ghost knocking at my door?
You know that I can't love you more
What's that shape climbing over my wall?
You know that I can't love you more
So who's that ghost knocking at my door?
You know that I can't love you more
What's that shape climbing over my wall?
You know that I can't love you more
Love you more, love you more, love you more

GREAT TUNE!!   I  Agree!!
It's been 2 years and I'm still not over how perfect this song is. I've always been a fan of Tears for Fears, but was nervous with their latest album - they proved I was a silly goose for doubting them.

This song is one of my favourites of all time. Goddamn. I love that Tears for Fears are still making exceptional music after all these years.
i really like this after a couple of listens.

it's very smooth.

i've missed these guys.

Yeah. Forgot about those overplayed stuff too
How did this manage to sneak into the Rock Mix?
Damn! Now I wish I would have seen them last year or so when I just wanted to see the opening act, Garbage.

The explains the production footprint. Rupert Hine was notorious to appear uncredited as backing vocals on quite a few of his productions.

Well put. But Tears for Fears does not need a champion. Just like the world doesn't need another politician making decisions which line their pocket at the expense of people who voted for them.

The boys are back! And they sound good!
Anyone gone through the whole album? Good?

The cover art seems pretty M.C. Escher inspired to me - not a bad thing. And I'll say the song is enjoyable, it's been a long time since hearing anything new from TfF!

its like a wind wave. something old fashion, but brand new
Any of the live recordings on youtube of them supporting this album are truly impressive.  Amazing talents...and their voices have held up amazingly...funny to observe the crowds though, lots of grey beards rocking out like it they think its still the 80's...too old we grow too wise...

I hope you didn’t miss the 22 concert tour too! Excellent!!

They have done much better songs.

My wife and I just saw them in concert this past week. Fantastic show. They both sounded great but Roland's voice was especially impressive. He has complete control over his entire range, which is quite extensive. Their whole vibe is excellent and thoroughly entertaining. I would see them again in a heartbeat!
It's good to hear the old favorites making new music!
Great to hear Tears for Fears are back in business!
que bien otro nuevo trabajo!
Bravo to these guys for making new music again!
this one is growing on me. thinking 7 to maybe an 8....
Just got the vinyl as a result of hearing this track on RP and oh-my-gosh...its outstanding top to bottom.  Highly recommended.  Try it...you'll like it.

Love the track - although part of the rhythm / backing sounds very similar to Dave Gilmour's 'Rattle That Lock'!

This is totally acceptable. Not gonna redefine a genre or anything so momentous, but it's easy to come back from a hiatus, try again, and come up with something that's not so good.

Another winner: Billy Idol. Still has it. And by "it" I mean Steve Stevens.

Exactly. First thought of mine. Is this a new SW song. Guess I'm not crazy or alone. He's told in interviews that tears for fears has been an influence though. Here's the evidence.

Really growing on me.... bumping from 8 to a 9.
Lucky us that they kissed and made up.
Wow this is really a great tune.
So wonderful when a favorite band that you think has ended comes back just as strong as before!

NO! In real life, she passed away.  ...May she rest in Peace!

YES! I heard the interview on NPR!  Great Tune!! I thought it was great, even before I found out the background on it!
Does anyone know if Diva sings on the new album ?

You missed the memo.   Get on YouTube, they're all over the place, doing appearances, and introducing this new album.  Their voices sound really good.
So glad they kissed and made up.
I've been listening to the album over the weekend - a very solid return to form.

David Gilmour's rattle that lock springs to mind??

I hear it too!
Solid TFF song, but more representative of their '90s efforts than the '80s stuff that made them famous.  All in all, I'm happy to hear from them again regardless
awesome! So nice to see that these guys are still producing good music.

They must've seem bored-out-of-their skull during lockdown and thought, what the heck, lets make a new album
For about two seconds I thought I listened to an unknown Steven Wilson track. Is he in the backing vocals?
They're touring again, supported by Alison Moyet.  Should be a good time.
Great!!
for a moment I thought maybe this was something from Syntax
I like it !
Good something else besides everybody wants to rule the world

Happy New Year! And no, sadly, '21 ain't done with us yet! Lol

Good tune!

Haha, agree don't wish our lives away !!
Heard this from another room and thought it might be a new Republic Tigers song! (Saw that they finally have a new record out but have yet to hear it...sure want to!) Tears for Fears still sound really good... Good for them! Thanks, RP!

Looks like it's an early release from an upcoming album. From Wikipedia:

"After spending almost a decade in development, the band's seventh album, The Tipping Point, has been announced for release in February 2022."

Pretty spiffy cover art  :-)
 Nice
It is great to have this band back!
