Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay, yeah
I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody's sin
You got to lose to know how to win
Half my life's in books' written pages
Lived and learned from fools and from sages
You know it's true
All the things come back to you
Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away
Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away
Dream on, dream on, dream on
Dream until your dreams come true
Dream on, dream on, dream on
Dream until your dreams come true
Dream on, dream on
Dream on, dream on
Dream on, dream on
Dream on
Ah!
Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away

Ha! This is great. Sounds like the song Aerosmith covered.

Until hearing this, I always thought the lyric was “sing women”. I like this better.
There's been a disturbing trend of late, where great songs being covered by singers with "better trained" voices, employing all sorts of tonal gymnastics, but that fall far short of the soulfulness of the originals, leaving the experience shallow and flat.
I'm beginning to think this song is “uncoverable,” but I appreciate the attempt.
Morgan James
Love Scott Bradlee’s arrangements.
Yes, I’m a PMJ fan!

Good Lord, she's got some pipes! Such a fun cover!
No. Reaches far too high into the screechy octave.
While I don't like it, I totally respect the effort that went into this. Not a single lead guitar, a new arrangement of a rock classic. The singer is taxed with having to substitute for some of the guitar parts, no small feat. An ambitious cover that attempts to reinvent the song rather than just reproduce it close to the original. For that alone it deserves a listen. Once.
While not my favorite cover of this song (that belongs to Fisher), it's an interesting take and pretty decent. It's just missing something that makes it as compelling as the original.
Ha! This is great. Sounds like the song Aerosmith covered.

I like the energy of the original better. Not to say that this is bad, just doesn't hook me.

Quite nice. A cover that covers new ground. Great voice too.
Yeah this is a solid 8!
Nice track, I'll start this off at a 7 with probable upwards movement to 8

It's better when you can see her sing.
