Voices rising
They're gone outta their heads
They say, lost again
Always some
Writhing in here

We fall
In shame
I'll ride and go there
When it's said

In a fog
You're all insane
Outta your heads

Broke down but rising
Been low, I been lost
Feel love, I lost again
When I feel love
I run in

This irritates the crap out of me with that downward musical spiral.
This song was different at first, however, it is now very annoying.  Perhaps a new rubber band would change its sound....
I have never done psychedelic drugs but that doesn't stop me enjoying this original sound, or the album cover.
Nailed the sweet spot for trance dance.  Yep, they surely did.
This is my latest favourite earworm. Now I have to go and buy some of their albums...!
Endless and Repetitive.

Again, please.

The more I hear of this, the more I really like it! Glad I bought the whole thing after hearing it here! They really hit the High Violets and The Verve grooves on this one! Puts me in the mood to munch a few blue stems and jam To Where You Are and A Storm in Heaven... RP ROCKS!

Well said, concur completely.

This whole album is excellent, if you like this get it. Their other albums are strong too, but not quite as consistently solid overall. Also check out Wooden Shjips if this sound appeals (band before Moon Duo).

Downloaded a bunch onto my Spotify. Great find!
Thank you William!!!

Bump 7>9
More of these Moonies please William!
where else but RP?
Love this
Thank you
Excellent
Love the offbeat vocal vibe. Great use of the tone scale. Quite compelling.
I love the fact that I can't explain why I like this song.

Nice! Even better on the rocks!
Reminds me of that amazing 'Smiths - How Soon Is Now' reverb vibe...
Liking the music quite a bit. Cover art is a bit reminiscent of a technicolor ill fused yawn. I'll close my eyes and just listen.
so glad to read all the positive comments here - i love this
Great tunes
Reminiscent of Blue Man Group

Yeah, they’re taking that descending sound straight from his “Black Tie White Noise” album - “Nite Flights.”
Good stuff! The looping, dropping off synth part is a creative addition. Moby-ish, Bowie, etc.
Has some serious hints of Air…
I really can't get enough of the spacey, cranked guitar here; kinda like The High Violets, kinda like John Squire, and whoah, what an expansive, vibrant headspace they generate, kinda like The Verve, kinda like Echo & The Bunnymen, and ALL of these, I LOVE! but wow: IT JAMS! Can't wait to hear it again! RP rules!

The singing reminds me of Joy Division but this song is too peppy for JD. This is nice! Strong 7 to start.

Awesome to now hear Moon Duo on RP. Discovered them a couple of years ago from a "new psychedelic rock" playlist somewhere. Got this album and really enjoyed it. If you like this tune you will like them - go deeper.  This is an "8" for me.

And Wooden Shjips would be a nice addition too BTW.
Interesting
Looks like a new addition... I love Moon Duo, and it's a shame they seem to on hiatus while Ripley concentrates on Rose City Band.  Mind you, it's all good.
The rhythm section on this song is really nice, a good beat with a nice bass note.  The guitars soar over it, nice synth use, and mellow vocals.  Seems like a great song to listen to on a drive, overall nice vibe.  Have to check on some of their other music now...
Had to put the headphones on for the full effect.  Aural tastiness.

Nice!  Check out "Staring at the Sun" also by Wooden Shjips.
I am really digging this!
Woozy cool...
