On the path
With my restless curiosity
Beyond life
Before me
A passenger
On no ordinary journey
It's one of a kind
Won't get left behind

I'm floating on a moment
Don't know how long
No one knows
No one can stay
All going to nowhere
All going
Make no mistake

Without control
I'm heading toward a boundary
That divides us
Reminds us
Travelling
On a voyage where the living
They have never been
Have never seen

I'm floating on a moment
Don't know how long
No one knows
No one can stay
All going to nowhere
All going
Make no mistake

All trying but can't escape
All going to nowhere
To afraid to be free

Not that I don't want to return
Not that I don't want to return
(All going to nowhere, to nowhere)
Oh, honestly
It's not that I don't want to return
(All going to nowhere, to nowhere)
It just reminds us
Not that I don't want to return
It just reminds us that all we have
All we have is here and now
(All going to nowhere, to nowhere)
But all we have is here and now
(All going to nowhere, to nowhere)
All we have is here and now
(All going to nowhere)
It just reminds us
All we have is here and now (All going to nowhere)

Well I thought this was Aldous Harding... I guess not.

Speaking about that it looks like "Imagining My Man" got taken off of rotation, 0 plays in the last 30 days.
Brilliant.  So good to hear new stuff from her.   She is so much more than a foundational pillar of Trip Hop (which would be enough).  Check out her stunning performance of Gorecki’s Symphony Number 3 - in Polish - which she does not speak!

Sounds like a tenor style mandolin player.
sweet

Does anyone else hear similarities to Sheryl Crow’s new song (Evolution)?

BillG is a wizard!
Intriguing on first listen and growing on me more as it repeats on here... Nice
That was really pretty. That little "it just reminds us" line is an earworm.
Lots of new music today. Nice
This would pair nicely with Lazarus from Bowie's Blackstar album.
It's interesting how RP can get records from the future! :D

The First Time I heard this,  I felt I had heard this before in a movie some long time ago.  I love that I recognize this song that I never heard before!..... Thanks William. Keep up the great work!
god her voice doesn't sound like she's aged a day. so happy to be getting a new beth gibbons album this year, did not see that coming. the most recent thing she's been doing is polish opera!
Her voice is still amazing! Solid 8 from me!

Not quite, the release date here refers to the album (that's why it says album: Lives Outgrown released: 2024-05-17) which is going to be released in May but this song was release as a single on 7th Feb.
Thought to myself: is this some new Kate Bush?  Nice.
She has a very interesting and unusual voice - it reminds me a little of the way Vashti Bunyan sings, though of course a very different genre.

Sounds like the offspring of Kate Bush and Sufjan Stevens. I like it!
Interesting stuff. Bass is very cool. Not as expressionistic as Portishead but you cannot escape the roots. Complex lyrics, I'll have to read a number of times. I'll have to see what else she has been doing solo. Thanks Rebecca and Bill for getting this on pre-release.
Very nice!  This is hauntingly beautiful on first listen.  Immediately grabbed me with the guitar in the beginning.  Had seen she was releasing new material and not surprisingly, RP is on top of it!  Looking forward to hearing more from her new album.
New BG!!! Nice - made me stop and listen
