It can't be said I'm an early bird
It's ten o'clock before I say a word
Baby, I can never tell
How do you sleep so well?
You keep telling me to live right
To go to bed before the daylight
But then you wake up for the sunrise
You know you don't gotta pretend
Baby, now and then
Don't you just wanna wake up
Dark as a lake
Smelling like a bonfire
Lost in a haze?
If you're drunk on life, babe
I think it's great
But while in this world
I think I'll take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You're too sweet for me
You're too sweet for me
I take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You're too sweet for me
You're too sweet for me
I aim low
I aim true, and the ground's where I go
I work late where I'm free from the phone
And the job gets done
But you worry some, I know
But who wants to live forever, babe
You treat your mouth as if it's Heaven's gate
The rest of you like you're the TSA
I wish that I could go along
Babe, don't get me wrong
You know you're bright as the morning
As soft as the rain
Pretty as a vine
As sweet as a grape
If you can sit in a barrel
Maybe I'll wait
Until that day
I'd rather take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You're too sweet for me
You're too sweet for me
I take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You're too sweet for me
You're too sweet for me
I take my whiskey neat
My coffee black and my bed at three
You're too sweet for me
You're too sweet for me

Sounds like Feel It Still by Portugal the Man...amarite??
I feel like this is Teddy Swims, but a little too crisp. The lyrics are great, but the song is too neat for the mood.
This is a great song! Here is my problem, and it is simply mine. I am hearing this on Radio Paradise, KBCO, the Colorado Sound, and every main stream station that I can bare to listen to. Unfortunately, I ama burned out on it now. Already and this is a new song. Sad. Interesting how we can get bored of such a great thing...just like certain foods. I always crave for cottage cheese, but right now I am on a soft diet and cottage cheese is the last thing I want! /s
Sounds like it belongs in a Target or Gap commercial. Not too keen on it, and especially not after the social media inundation.
Catchy tune, but it sounds like I heard it before. Pleasant enough to avoid hitting the "Next" button. Opens with a 6 from Napoli on the Gulf.
This song achieves that rather strange knack of sounding as if I've known it for years ... yes, it's a standard progression but it's more than that. Initial 7.
Huh, 4.3, I think there might be some bias on these early ratings. ...well, I like it, it's a catchy tune and a 7 from me!
That's what you think you're listening to when you hear this song.
