Back when I was lost
Stumbling around
You found me now I can see
My feet won't touch the ground
Fighting through the pain
No longer remain
In that darker place
Lead me to the light
You don't seem to mind
Standin in the rain
I give you the hardest time
You're resolute to stay
Help me realise
There's nothing left to gain
Lord I need your lovin

God knows I gotta be
Leavin the rest of me behind, behind
With your heart right next to me
I'm leavin the rest of me behind
Behind us yeah

Hide me from the noise
But I can't stand the sound
Of silence it's so hard for me I needed you around
Callin out your name
Feel like I could drown
When I need your lovin

God knows I gotta be
Leavin the rest of me behind
Behind yeah
With your heart right next to me
I'm leaving the rest of me behind
Behind us yeah
God know I better be
Bringin the best of me this time
This time yeah

In middle of love
In the middle of pain
You get high
You get high
In the middle of love
You get high high
Don't cry
In the middle of pain
You get high

Such great sound!

Don't get the 6.9. Nice funk, well written and produced pleasant song. Better than 90% of the other new music.

If only he was a blond girl doing some cheesy Americana...

yes I'm sure it's racism.
anyway.. 7 is a good rating, well above average. it's a 1-10 scale, after all.
An easy 7 from soggy Seattle...

I just bumped the overall rating up to 7.
Every time I hear this song, my personal rating goes up a level :)
Very nice indeed

This is quite different from his earlier stuff ... but there's no drop in quality.  He's definitely the real deal as far as I'm concerned.
Guy has a nice voice that he controls beatifically.  Pretty jazzy/Motown setting for the song is nostalgic, in a good way. Opening with a 7 from Napoli on the Gulf.
Wow - that guitar intro drew me in straight away... Chilled tune
