All Things Must Passish
What do you get when you cross a wiener dog and a horse?

I would say it specifically sounds like an homage to George Harrison's songs Isn't it a Pity or All Things Must Pass. I was sure I was hearing one of those songs when this one started.
Thinking of my guy  G E  O  R  G  E  HARRISON....
Its very nice...
Without Brian Epstein this song wouldn’t exist
A bird lawyer and a Birdtalker.
Are we sure this isn't an AI generated indie folk band/song??
I hate to compare them to the Traveling Wilbury's but...............I love it!!! mOre LOve is what we need, get ride of teh Charades!!!!!!
That's an extremely long Horse
Birdtalker:

The name is a reference to an anecdote about St. Francis, how one day while on a walk with friends, he stopped to give a sermon to a flock of birds. The birds gave him their full attention, only leaving when he had made the sign of the cross and had finished speaking. Francis then accused himself of negligence for never preaching to the birds before.

Absolutely brilliant name.

Well, sorta.

I knew the Beatles,
The Beatles were friends of mine.
Birdtalker,
You're not the Beatles.

😁

1. Definite George Harrison feel to the melody.

2. Read the lyrics... they're spot on (and depressing once you think about it). The vocal delivery /melody is questionable in that it doesn't quite match the gravity of the lyrics. Or maybe that was done on purpose?

Lyrics for me are the highlight of the song versus the melody, as others have noted it's kind of a Beatles/Harrison rip-off.

I agree. The lyrics are really really good, and relevant. The band name is a nod to respect of nature in religion, which also lends a note of gravity to the whole vibe of this song. Maybe we need a Johnny Cash cover? Anyway this band is yet another RP find, and I'll be listening for more of them.
Beatles
I'll give it a 6 for the album cover...

Isn't it a pity?
Isn't it a shame?
Its,,,its...Donovan.

Being hurdy gurdy.
Everything sounds like something else, blah blah...

I'm hearing bloody Hear'Say...
I hear the Beatles. Something from the White Album onwards.
This tune gives me "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" vibes...
Another enjoyable listen from a band I’d never find on my own. Thanks RP.
Obviously big Beatles influence but for a more modern comparison I'm going with Dr. Dog.
Very Oasis ('All Around The World') hence by inference very Beatles as many have said! Not a bad thing though! 👍
beatlesque
