And it’s for utter overplayed tosh like this that we are grateful for the Skip button.
Wow. This is quite lovely.

Deserves points just for the band name.

I would have bet that was Jane Siberry
I think it is somekind of new production flavors.
Modern producers are trying to escape from the extra-compressed and unreal pristine-clean-digital sounds.... I'm seeing the trend to get back to the valve overdrives in everything: drums, voices, keyboards, ....
More than welcome, Bitch Trio!

What a great song, but so harsh sounding.
Holy shit the boomers are having a field day in the comments on this one lol
7 if for no other reason than their name.
WHINEY AS HELL...
Yeah - distortion makes it near unlistenable. Would be interesting to know what this one would score if it was a clean production.
I give it a three for the harsh sounds.
The trio began in 2020 in Melbourne. That year, they released their debut single titled "Headlights".[3] In 2022, the trio released a split with the band Bones and Jones titled "Friendly Neighbor/If I Was a Man".[4] In 2023, the trio released two new songs titled "Analogue" and "I Heard".[5] In 2024, the group released a song titled "God's a Different Sword".[6] The trio announced they had signed to Jagjaguwar in 2025.[1] Their debut album, Now Would Be a Good Time, was released on 25 July 2025.[3][7 Wikipedia

I saw some live in May 2025 and there was no distortion on the harmonies. All in all a good performance

Ugh, the distortion is much worse than I first realised. Terrible production choice.
Aside from that I think these girls are great.

Is it just me or are the vocals really distorted?

I think you guys just need to get cheaper speakers! :)
Something about Heide Peverelle’s expression on the album cover makes me think of Syd Barrett in the current Wikipedia page picture of Pink Floyd.

I wish it was just you. Unfortunately it's someone's deliberate choice (as opposed to an accident or lack of skill). I don't think it's bad enough to not play the track - but I wish they hadn't hit that clipper quite so hard.
I do agree. It's a very strange production choice.

Delicate. ... Kudos for the harmonies.
Deserves points just for the band name.
