Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Hey Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
And any time you feel the pain
Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulder
For well you know that it's a fool
Who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Na na na naa-naa
Na-na-naa naaa
Hey Jude, don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
''(Let it out and let it in)''
Remember ''(hey Jude)'' to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
So let it out and let it in
Hey Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you
Hey Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Na na na naa-naa
Na-na-naa naaa, yeah
Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song
And make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you begin
To make it better
Better, better, better, better, ''(I'm begging you)'' better
Whoa!
Yeah
Na na na na-na-na-naa ''(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)''
Na-na-na-naa, hey, Jude
Na na na na-na-na-naa
Na-na-na-naa, hey, Jude
Na na na na-na-na-naa
Na-na-na-naa, hey, Jude

Yeah, you know you can make it, Jude
Jude, you're not gonna break it
Na na na ''(don't make it bad, Jude)'' na-na-na-naa
Take a sad song and make it better
Na-na-na-naa, ''(oh, Jude)'' hey, ''(Jude)'' Jude
Hey, Jude, wo-o-ow!

some of us simply got tired of hearing this; similar to Hotel California, if i never heard either it would not be a loss. and i'm not comparing the two.

I don't think too much about the trolls on RP. Mercifully there aren't too many. They're like the random cracks and pops made by the stylus on the vinyl between tracks. Just noise.

Could this song have the longest fade-out in history?
Here is where Paul tried out Jug band style
Check out this song coming off the stands from the England fans at the world cup for Jude Bellingham!!
A masterpiece, pure and simple.
I really don't like this song but i will give it a 10 anyway.
So nice of Paul to write this for Julian.
This band is new to me. me like
Sorry Paul, I didn't have this masterpiece rated, but I just took care of that !!
Spent an entire weekend in 1978 listening to a CHUM-AM Best Songs of all time countdown...all that build-up, the time invested...announced the #1...and this started to play. I was completely and utterly disappointed.
Thank God time and life has educated me in the interim...

They play this song at high volume before kick off at Brentford FC Community Stadium to get the crowd going. Worked well this week as we beat Manchester United 4 nil!

Wow -- what a great tune, and what fun, happy memories! As the local token gaijin, I had to sing this song often in the wild karaoke bars of Shizuoka my first two years in Japan (but once I knew that I could pull it off, and get free drinks and big thanks for it, I didn't really mind!). As a kid, I used to love singing along to this... Little did I know how useful it would later be! Domo, RP-sama tachi!

And by that I meant I can't hear the last big hit Beatles song without thinking of the end of the band and the era they carried in with them. Speaking perhaps only for myself, these songs and several others of theirs function like downbeat markers, the cruel passage of time, arguments and distrust within a family.
The pop song masterpiece anthem that is also a funeral dirge. This, Let it Be and the Long and Winding Road almost makes me think of driving off that road and into a wall.

There are people who actually rated this a ONE?!?!? Who pissed on their cornflakes?!

Who plays it cool

This song is such a refreshing breath of fresh air.
Love, love, love.
But I seldom listen to end-stage Beatles tracks like this one and The Long and Winding Road. It's like listening to a funeral dirge. From Twist and Shout to Crying Out Loud in 7 short years....

I'd happily never hear the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata again - I much prefer the second and third.
And also a truncated version. Bill? Bill? Would you play an edited version of Moonlight Sonata? Or Beginnings?

Hah! I just PSD'd from exactly the same song, 4 months later. Go figger.
As for Wilson Pickett and Duane Allman on the same track; what's not to like?
Now this is weird: I PSD to here from Natalie Merchant slow-torturing Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush" and felt very lucky. But this song apparently has gotten very, very little airplay on RP over the years! What gives, Bill?
If y'all wanna hear a different take on this song, check out Wilson Pickett's cover (Duane Allman plays guitar). The Wicked Pickett's scream was in full cry that day.

Gosh, the few times I've heard this on RP I've psd'd right past. That's almost sacrilege. But the very last Beatles songs fill me with sadness, not happiness. Given that crash and burn after such life confirming brilliance, I can seldom bring myself to listen. Long And Winding Road moves me to tears, and not just because of the song itself.

"McCartney and other various people at Royal Albert Hall, to help the Montserrat's people, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Sting, Eric Clapton, Elton John."
Hey Jude is a great Paul McCartney song that was written about John's then only son Julian who was only 5 and going through his parents divorce. It was the biggest hit for The Beatles and stayed on the top of the charts like forever! It also broke the rule in the 1960's that songs by any artist had to be only 3 minutes in order to get radio play. But once again The Beatles broke the rules and changed this and paved the way for all other music artists to be able to get longer songs played on the radio! :D

It won't take long 'till that generation devide will subside and Lennon/McCartney will be in the same leaque as timeless songwriters like Cole Porter, Irvin Berlin, George Gershwin etc. (Maybe they already are).
Even if it didn\'t follow Sarah McLachlan\'s cover of \"Blackbird\" in the playlist, this would still be a most welcome song. The fact that it wipes my memory of the aforementioned cover? Golden. ;)
Agree with the sentiment. I listen to RP for the music one would never, otherwise, hear. I’ve heard these songs far too many times in my life…as ‘Cranky’ stated, to not hear them again would be just fine.
