The lyrics say "the skank beat a-rocking' my life."  I've always heard it as "the skank be the rock in my life."  FYI, skanking=dancing, if you don't know.

These guys are huge in NZ, I'm not a fan, but then I have never got on with Reggae, a genre which is also massive in NZ.
