I found a love, sweet and young
Out in the big open
Deep in the land of stars that shine
Bright like the heart she wore
I spent a lifetime on that road
She spent a life in town
And I said c'mon, she said right
Let's head for higher ground
Let's go shall we
On through the majesty
Let's go, you'd never know
But this was made for you and me, shall we
We hit the road, the big highway
With a heart full of soul and fire
making our way through America
In a ford on a two-cent tire
Let's go shall we
On through the majesty

Let's go, you'd never know
But this was made for you and me
We laid down under stars
Under the dead of night
There in a field of wildflowers
Baby we finally made things right
Where no bands of gold or
Diamond rings or wished of well could hold
More than our hearts of good intentions
More than our promise told

Let's go shall we
On through the majesty
Let's go, you'd never know it
But this was made for you and me, shall we

One of the things I love about these guys is that they're not afraid to laugh onstage, or poke fun at one another, or include the audience in a shout-fest. They're very interactive and fun. To the haters - sorry if hayseed hoe-down music isn't your thing. I hope Bill follows this with "Good Morning, Aztlan."  {#Roflol}
It's frustrating that Sam Llanas has left the band just after the new album was released this year.  Kurt Neuman is the only original member left in the band, it's going to be interesting to see how they carry on.
Great live band!  I've seen them many times.

Unfortunately, their recorded music is sounding dated too me these days.
Was great seen live at Summerfest this year... they still have the same energy they did when I first saw them over 20 years ago.

No, we don't have hillbillies out here. Maybe if the vocals were in a local yokel accent they'd be more apposite, or in an urban setting in a chav accent.

Try turning it sideways a little bit...yes, just like that. Better now?

Nor in a Dutch ear.

Lord, please let there be some really cool new indie songs released this year. And may Bill & Rebecca quickly discover them so we don't get inundated with this sort of thing.

What's a greasy tobacco smelling dirtbag girl?
I remember these guys from \'86! My college dorm roomate tried to turn me on to them. I remember sorta liking them, but never really latched on. This song is kinda cool.
On second listen -

I love these guys along with Cracker,Wilco, and the Freddy Jones band. The BoDeans are BoDay-cious! :D
so monotonous. very monotonous. exceedingly monotonous. with no pay-off except the end. ugh.
I think perhaps you should play BoDeans a little less often...
