Things aren't always what they seem. Sometimes herding cats is okay, if futile. Every now and then it's just important to show up. Pugs are actually cute, as are huge BBDs (big brown dogs, who'll try to bite you when you try to cut their nails). Rearranging furniture sucks, but the results are usually fun. Ice cream before dinner is really a thing. Old books smell really good. Decades-long friendships are priceless. And then there are the burgers at Swensons.....
