I finished off my friend's song.
Here's a link to the demo, which is clunky, and then my version with me putting some lipstick on it. If you have thoughts about what needs fixing or changing, I'd be happy to hear about it. I'm doing this as an excuse to learn how to use Logic Pro a little better.
A buddy suggests my working name could be Eno O'Hair. Heh.
Putting even more work into tearing apart and fixing a song that a friend sent me. He's singing off key, arrhythmic guitar, and a simplistic drum machine labeled 100BPM but it's really 120 - which really screwed me up for a while. The good thing is that it's forcing me to learn more about what Logic Pro can do. Putting many hours/weeks into this, trying to spruce it up into something even better because, at its heart, it's a very good piece of writing; it's just the performance.
I did this once before with a different friend who sent me a very simple quick guitar tune and I cut it up, rearranged it to be more interesting, fixed the rhythm, added some drum and synth, and it turned out really respectable.
I think I'm turning into Eno, although I still have all my hair.

Be interviewed along with a couple of cohorts today on the radio @12:45 Eastern about upcoming benefit concert in a special place where I frequented as a kid.
