To that end... what is the likelihood (now) of any ICE crackdowns on any Trump owned/affiliated properties or construction companies building a Trump property?
Probably the safest place to be as an illegal is to be working at a Trump property. Finding and deporting any illegals at Trump property right now would not only impact operations but would be a "very bad look" for him.
Any ICE agent authorizing that would probably be in greater jeopardy that an actual immigrant.
You just proved my point, that when push comes to shove, you do not make the distinction between legal and illegal. You just give certain illegals a pass based on their circumstances and ignore the law. The law is the law is the law. And the law means nothing to you regarding this.

Hey Kurt... still waiting? C'mon...Immigration is your jam!
JFC. That part that you are demanding an answer to is not a statement about me and my interpretations.
as you say ... just give certain illegals a pass based on their circumstances and ignore the law.
No I didn't say that is what I believe. It was an accusation against veev.
the full quote and the context ...

and that was addressing this ... VV wrote:
What you don’t understand is that while I can make the same distinction between illegal and legal immigrants as you…
that doesn’t (to me) mean that illegal immigrants trying to sneak in aren’t any less deserving of a chance. Depends upon their particular circumstance. Desperate people can and will do desperate things.
You only see what you want to see.
And you refuse to be honest about what you claim to see.
I feel you. My brother is 81, stage 4 cancer (again), and looks like a crumpled piece of paper. But, before Christmas heâll be dead. So thereâs no since fighting with him, and heâs not gonna convince anyone to change their political views. So letâs stay friends/brothers, shall we?
My brother being one of them, I have tried to understand how he got there. Quite simply, it is the news he watches, Fox, OAN, Newsmaxx, etc. I've implored him to at least try some other news. I feel like reality is slowly seeping in, but I don't know. I'll see him 4th of July week, so will see.

It's not rocket science. Everyone (minus Trump and assorted MAGA faithful including heir Kurtster) knew that Americans couldn't, wouldn't, shouldn't do many of the jobs that the 100%, 10 million person deportation, the law is the law folks were spouting.
Next "exclusion" is going to be for construction....which is the highest employment industry for illegals in the US.
It's entertaining to see when Kurt will engage... which basically boils down to either something Trump did that he hasn't flipped on, or something that FOX news suggests is the result of something Joe Biden/Kamala Harris/ The Obamas/The Clintons did. He ignored all of the economic noise because "he cared primarily about immigration"... and now that Trump has folded on that.... crickets.
It would actually be pretty funny, if Trump wasn't destroying the country in the process. At least we got black and diversity history washed from the record.... and all of the Jan 6 patriots were released after peacefully protesting the stolen election.

I think it's an issue of imprinting, like baby ducks latching on to the first thing that walks in front of them.
There is no doubt that the US is great because of its constitution. But the right-wing media has successfully transferred the defining characteristic of the United States to shift it away from the actual constitution, as a living document, to other symbols of American prowess to the point that they have fully subverted the power of constitution and replaced it with a 2-dimensional mock-up of the American dream, complete with comb-over, trophy wife, golden sneakers and and a gallery full of failed cosmetic surgery.
Look at how MAGA scream that any failure to display allegiance to Trump or MAGA is a "UnAmerican" or even "traitorous". And they believe it.
Baby ducks. The lot of them. Chasing an illusion of the very thing that nurtured them and completely oblivious to the difference.
btw, whatever happened to AugieK when you need him?

Hey Kurt...I guess you missed this.
It's your big issue! All illegals are equal, but some are more equal than others?
Itâs mind blowing how a third of the country seems to support a man who - unquestionably - does not respect the USA Constitution. For them to think he belongs in a seat of power, especially when none of that power is helping them (itâs been three months - NO ONE but the Dark State Swamp Elites are any better off) just shows you how easily led and unAmerican those people are.
Itâs tempting to want to listen to their opinion on things, but repeatedly and illogically they espouse ideas that are traitorous.

If Trump were smart, given the support that the MAGA faithful have in him, he would create a one time pathway to anyone here right now...saying....
1) I closed the border...and it will stay closed for now
2) everyone here right now has 2 choices....
- Register within the next 3 months for permanent asylum. Everyone who registers can stay in the country until we process their case, protected under the laws and Constitution of the US.
- Anyone who doesn't register and is located, arrested for a speeding ticket, or is looks at anyone funny after the 3 months... immediate and permanent deportation.
3) Close all legal migration to everyone not escaping war or persecution....which will be adjudicated quickly, and you will be admitted or not.
4) Reform immigration in Congress.
5) Take all of the resources that are focused on deportation, and spend the money on judges, case workers, and employees to process everyone who comes forward in #2.
Trumps a grifting a-hole, but if he could pull this off... he would create a legacy as POTUS that would make it difficult to keep him among the worst Presidents of all time... which is why i doubt he'll do it.
NEVAH gonna happen. Trump and the Republicans love an open border because it gives them red meat to throw to the masses and an issue to run on every election. Democrats run and hide when they hear the word Immigration so they don't get tied to said open border. Round and round we go, when the ride stops nobody knows. I'm tired of it personally. Get in a room and figure something out. If not shut the F up or go home.
Of course he tries to rationalize it by saying if existing, long-term, undocumented migrant workers are removed, then they'll be replaced by the "murderers from prisons and everything else" - his fall-back excuse.

To be fair, thatâs what happened when I left my job.
