Way back in late 1973 I went to a Mott The Hoople show in Gainesville Florida because ZZ Top was the opening act. They were still a regional band from my home state in Texas and were touring their Rio Grande Mud album that had just dropped. They came out & blew the house down, played FIVE encores. Mott came out & after about 3-4 tunes the place started to empty out, including us. I was in the Navy stationed in Brunswick Georgia at the time.

Totally agree. My #3 is Keith Moon. I saw them all live. Bonham in 75, Moon in 76, Peart the final time in 2012. Yeah, I’m an old guy.

I can’t believe I screwed up Neil Peart’s name. Don’t text while sleepy. I would rate him #2 behind Bonham but just barely.

I really haven’t heard them with her yet & tix to their Denver shows were out of my ballpark. They seem to be honoring Neil Peart (not Peary) & not setting expectations that she’ll match up. In my view, he was/is among the top 3 rock drummers of all time, not to mention a killer lyricist. Hard to come close to him. But I get it that Geddy & Alex want to play their music again after a long period of mourning. Wishing them all best. ☮️

The 2004 cover Geddy Lee called “the best thing” Rush ever recorded

I’m a HUGE Rush fan, have seen them many times including a few awesome shows at Red Rocks. But somehow I never heard about their EP of covers called Feedback . Love this!  â˜®ï¸
