I like Bauhous, Dali's Car, and a good bit of Murphy's other stuff, but this song would gag a maggot.

I'd give every last Peter Murphy song a 10 I'm such a hardcore fan (and hope he's all recovered from that recent heart episode in NYC) but for the fact that, as a young impressionable person under his music-spell, one expected all romantic encounters (when actually young and impressionable) to be just like this song. I really like Mr. Murphy music
This is pretty awful. Sounds like he's trying to be like the Fixx.

I've always liked the Peter Murphy sound. This one sounds a bit like an attempt to write a top ten moneymaker though. It's a bit watered down. I'm posting a 6.
God I love this man's voice 
And to think he fronted Bauhaus before moving on to his solo work. This is so far removed from Bela Lugosi's Dead. I've always like his work in both bands.

The themes are similar, though Mick's singing about wet dreams. The energy level is quite contrasting.

Wiki says he was the model in the UK version, not the US version of which we are all thinking. So you are safe - he *is* as follicularly-challenged as you thought. Plus he lives in Turkey.

I don't dispute the factoid on the Maxell ad, but it's still hard for me to believe that he ever had that much hair. It only seems fair for him to be as folliclely-challenged as he seems.
I've had the poster shown below for years and just today sent it out to be framed for our listening room. It's pretty big (about 3'X6') and should add an intersting touch to the room.
I thought this old Maxell commercial was long forgotten..

But its his best album (I think its from about 1992)
Bauhaus was an amazing band that produced some very important music and fashion that has carried over today.
