And which way the winds blow
When this day is done
Breath, breath in the air
Set your intentions
Dream with care
Tommorow's a new day for everyone
A brand new moon a brand new sun
So follow, follow the sun
The direction of the birds
The direction of love
Breathe, breathe in the air
Cherish this moment
Cherish this breath
Tomorrow's a new day day for everyone
A brand new moon, brand new sun
When you feel life coming down on you, like a heavy weight
When you feel this crazy society adding to the strain
Take a stroll to the nearest water's edge, remember your place
Many moons have risen and fallen long, long before you came
So which way is the wind blowing
What does your heart say
So follow, follow the sun
And which way the wind blows
When this day is done
Norway, Denmark, and above all, Holland are quintessentially capitalist countries, with vibrant corporate and small business sectors. Yes, they have excellent social safety nets, and that is a good thing, but it is not socialism. That said, Winston Churchill was a horse's ass, often wrong as in this case, but terribly clever and entertaining...
Winston Churchill is not remembered fondly in Kenya .... Winston the Castrator
BTW How's that Brexit thing working out for you Brits?
.... national self-harm
LMAO

Winston Churchill thought killing my family was a great idea, and I'm American. Horse's ass is an understatement.

Visit Norway, Winston. Or Denmark or Holland. Socialism has progressed since you passed away.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

Agreed. And it seems so much more relevant now.
Agree!
I was thinking the same, or a cross between Paul Simon and Ray LaMontagne.

Can't count - just making it up as you go along ?

More Magpie Warble needed.
Reminds me of days at the Eumundi Markets, thanks Bill

I've been seeing that "quote" floating around the internet for a while; it's actually a combination of two separate comments which Churchill had made years apart.
“Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” —Perth, Scotland, May 28, 1948
and
“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” —House of Commons, October 22, 1945.
I'm not sure of either quote's relevance to this goofy song; it must have more to do with the thread comments.
I think it might have been as simple as Ulises seeing "Bernie" in the song comments and, one pair of bunched panties later, we have a mashup of Churchill quotes that mangles the meaning of the latter.
It is worth noting that Ulises' stated location, 8th Circle, would be the place of punishment for "simple" fraudsters, like counterfeiters, hypocrites, grafters, seducers, sorcerers, and simonists. Sounds like a dedicated Capitalist to me.

So much repetition it's unbelievable .
There must be a reason?
Maybe Bill and Rebecca like it?

Just 'cuz you got the blues, don't mean you gotta sing.

Well, I'm just back from canvassing for Bernie, but this song makes me want to break things.
Thank you. +1
Thanks Bill.

Follow number five.
Thanks Bill.
Agreed!
Thanks Bill.
Nice song though.

(And why is this song in such heavy rotation on RP?)

Continuing the foot-tapping and head-nodding..nice to feel so nice while I am working
Still waiting for the 11 to be integrated...
Until then... keeping on flying...
HELPLESSLY TERRIBLE!
I was better with 15 - SERIOUSLY!!!
(And why is this song in such heavy rotation on RP?)
Go figure.
Thanks for that. It's nice to hear tweeters on elegaic songs like this. I quite like the 'rainforest' sounds at the start as well, which sets the aural tone for the song. 7 from the blissed-out naturephile Nottingham jury.
Never heard a worst singer!
WHAT A JOKE!!!!
Grammatically speaking, you are absolutely right.
RP is subversive!

Very Paul Simon-ish. Simon-y? Whatever, I like it.

Hey now, keep it clean. No reason to be insulting to Xavier now.
More and more, a new narrative is emerging…The new battleground is over Snark and Smarm. Snark is irony, wit, and realism. Smarm is phony, passive-aggressive, Upworthy defense of existing paradigms and power structures. Who will win out? Tom Scocca of Gawker is our general on the Snark side. If you prefer Smarm, check out Jaron Lanier’s drivel in You Are Not a Gadget.
thanxs mate... we are probably on the same frequency.... this is an acquired anzac taste about the lands we call home...
Dang ... every time this song starts, I think it is going to be Isaac Delusion ... something off the Midnight Sun EP.
Maybe it's just me ... heh.
Yea, but did you see how many instruments this guy is playing! You're gonna have a heart attack just trying to smash them all.
Thanks for introducing me to him.
Cheers

New music. Bill is featuring it a bit, as a DJ should. What's the big deal?
Right... who's counting? New music that doesn't suck! I'll give it a 7, Mr. Clark!! The photo of the dude as a sorta one-man-band, with the drums and didgerydoodoo's up his nose etc etc is rather, er ...distressing, however.

<smash... smash... SMASH>
... sorry.
Oh really?!
I'm all for people stating their opinions. But you are rediculous.
Perhaps you should drag your ignorant ass to one of Xavier's concerts and see him sing, play (slide) guitar, percussion AND digeridoo's all combined in one song...
I bet you would even suck at sitting between all these instruments, let alone trying to play one of them. Yeah... I know...
So between work and another personal experience not going well at the moment... I see a man who can't share and wants to control everything himself.
Time to take a break outside and get a breath of fresh air. BTW, I really like his music and his messages don't convey my thoughts above at all. But like I said, bad day.
Good on ya mate!
I bet you would even suck at sitting between all these instruments, let alone trying to play one of them. Yeah... I know...
'Kinell!! That's what I call a one-man band.

At say 5 minutes per song, that is a shocking 9 out of 8,640 songs. I'm okay with that.
WOOW - HOW BAD!!!
SUPER-SUCKO!
Have you ever considered the expression "It's not my cup of tea?"
You are suuuuch a bad student!
