I could listen to him all day. Beautiful music.

What else have you "HEARD"? ...eh? Do you actually listen to his music?

Wow, someone else that knows of Keelaghan. (He should have some songs on RP.) Anyway, gotta find that recording, should be tops.
This will never get old! Oscar made a great recording with James Keelaghan, Compadres, that is still on my 'desert Island" list.

Sort of reminds me of “Classical Gas” by Jason Williams. Would be a great next song.
My rating down from 9 to 7 + skip
Haven't heard Oscar in a while. Great!

He is a handsome devil with serious guitar skills and a ready sense of humour.

Actually, the top of my browser window says, "Oscar Lopez - Classical Soul - Radio Paradise - Internet Radio - Rock, Alternative, Blues, Folk, Classic Rock and More". The stream description is, "DJ-mixed modern & classic rock, world beat, electronica, and more." The "and more" allows Bill & Rebecca a lot of leeway, opera included.

As has already been pointed out, the whole thing about RP is variety, so if you want a diet of steady ROCK (which some days I am in the mood for) get yourself over to https://www.planetrock.com/ where that is what you will find. Plus a bit of blokey jokey on a Saturday morning (UK time) in Rick's Place - Wakeman, that is.
When I come here, I wanna hear ROCK. Get it? Eclectic R-O-C-K, as Radio Paradise ITSELF claims to play.

Yeah well then why not play opera and all sorts of other stuff? Read the top of your browser Window.... "Radio Paradise - eclectic online rock radio" ... I'd very much like to stick to that, thankie. That's why I tune in HERE for.

It so happens that the other day I attempted to define "rock" - as in rock music, not in geology.
I don't think I can do it. The spectrum is just too wide - think of Simon & Garfunkel, or just Paul alone, or even the Beatles catalog. We don't even have to go into the rap / hip-hop/ jazz / electronica extremes to start running to definition trouble almost immediately. Me? I give up! I listen to stuff I like and don't worry about it.

blah, blah, blah. just relax and enjoy the man's fine guitar playing.
So good bye and have a nice day. Now we don't have to deal with you anymore.
By the way, I love this music.
Check out Pepe Romero, or any of the Romero family, for that matter.

When I come here, I wanna hear ROCK. Get it? Eclectic R-O-C-K, as Radio Paradise ITSELF claims to play. If RP wants to change its genre boundaries, fine, go with it, then we can also play Britney Spears, Death Metal, Punk, me on the Casio, oh and why not play some book readings and possibly buddhist temple chanting on holidays too. Hey it's all sounds, what? How about half an hour of white noise, to calm us all down and send us to sleep in the wee hours.
My point is, if a radio station claims to play a certain type of music, then it should stick to it. If it doesn't stick to it, then it should change its claim. This dilution is the main reason I stopped listening (and supporting) Radio Paradise.
Sorry but it had to be said.

guess you missed the 'world beat and more' part in the RP description.

Well guys, I do in fact listen to other genres, quite a bit actually. Guess what, I go to OTHER radio stations for that. I love Trance et al, so I go to di.fm. I love Indian music, like Bhangra, Ghazal, Bollywood tracks... I love symphonies and have an extensive collection by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, and a few others you may not know. I love Irish folk, like gigs and reels, ever since I moved to this country. Yet, I would never demand all these types of styles to be played here. I don't want to subject you people to my personal (eclectic) tastes.

I would like to eat this song.

Sorry, but this is not "eclectic rock" IMO. Yes, it's very skillfull and very well crafted and well recorded and all, but it's just not rock to me. It's too remote from the definition.... and frankly, I don't like that music style.
OK, how about, "It's music, yo!"?
Don't wish to denigrate the musical skill on show, but personally I loathe this kind of music. I'd say please never play it again, but judging from the rapturous applause below that's unlikely. Awful stuff - shame on each and every one of you!
Terrific piece.
Its about time i heard some oscar lopez on here. Oscar lopez, jesse cook, acoustic alchamy... i LOVE this stuff

Get over the "rock" man...ok, "eclectic online radio"...there, does that make ya feel better? I'm with ya, pyxxel, I've been on Bill for some time to get the word "rock" taken out. But, it is what it is, a damn fine online radio station. Enjoy the music.
Likeable tune.

That's exactly how I feel about this, too! It feels like this music has so much life in it. And it doesn't try to be anything that it isn't. It just exists, in this moment.
And that's beautiful. :)
