The sum of all your experiences
A living breathing result of the fight
And every night you spent shrouded in darkness
Has led you to this moment in the light, it's alright
Wonderful
Glorious
Wonderful
Glorious
Ahh ahh ahh ah, ah ah...
Wonderful
Glorious
The sum of all the love inside your heart
Will get you through your plight, it's alright
Wonderful
Glorious
My love is beautiful, it's here for the taking
It's strong and pure and utterly earth shaking
My love has brought me here to show you it's true
A wretch like me, you'll make it through
A living breathing result of the fight
And every night you spent shrouded in darkness
Has led you to this moment in the light, it's alright

I often read posts about under-rated bands/musicians. Every time I listen to an EELS song, I think that. Why on earth are there so many who love this genre of music, that don't even know about him?

I so love that sweet transition at the end of the song. These guys write some amazing music.

Thought it was Stones, 'Living in a Ghost Town'. Would make a great segue.
Rated this as a 4 to start, but after the tempo change and melody at the end I had to rate it a 7

My experience as well. Great band with some terrific albums but (after a few concerts) I don't ever need to see them live again.
Agreed that the opposite is preferable for me also.......... A great band live is the real thing.

After a "few concerts" I don't see a lot of bands or artists to be mandatory and unmissable.

Great tunes, very clever, but live? Nah.
I couldn't agree more. I love their records but man, underwhelming live.

The Eels always had this unique sound, while being ultra radio friendly.
Big respect, easy 9 from your ol' scurvy dog.

Damn, this is yet another KILLER song from melancholy Mr. E & Co.! The bass, the lyrics, the guitar, the drums — marvelous, fantastic

Nice tune!
I really like how E wails with passion at the end, much like he did on "Saturday Morning" on his album Shootenanny... Gonna dig it out and play it!

The Eels absolutely wowed the crowd at the Lincoln Theater in DC recently.

I've heard only a few EELS tunes but I've liked every one of them, including this one.
The Eels absolutely wowed the crowd at the Lincoln Theater in DC recently. And just to put some icing on the tasty cake, the third encore was preceded with "And that's not the smell of wine and cheap perfume, it's....Steve Perry!" And it was. Turns out he's a friend of E. So much fun!
...... always enjoy a helping of Eels
I like just about everything I've heard from Eels, including this.
I don't feel compelled to rush out and buy it, but it's nice to hear it on RP every now and then.

Well, how about that? Never knew the RAF marked B-17s. There are even books about the Coastal Service's complement. Thanks!

I love The EELS! I just wish E would add St. Louis to his tours. I haven't been able to make it up to Chicago when he plays through there. I would presume his shows are excellent. I know his music is, how shall I say.....Wonderful, Glorious maybe? hee hee.
very nice!
Whoa, didn't know Eels came out with an album this year. Going to have to check it out!

Nice tune -- definitely a nice change from some of their earlier stuff which didn't do that much for me
this is good---i couldn't tell who it was at first. he sounded like Mark Knopfler vocally.
Listened to these guys since early on...
This might be the most appealing song I have heard from them

A bit of an ironic cover, it appears. That looks like a WWII US bomber dropping its load.

Encoulez mes vieilles bottes! I'd never have guessed that something so rocking and catchy was by the Eels. Maybe they've turned over a new leaf. 8 from the astounded Nottingham jury.

Channeling The Clash, which is good.
Good song, but the last 60 seconds, the talent really takes off in full swing. Great climax in the last minute (that's what she said).

Second song I have have liked from this CD, I may have to pick it up!
Love Mark E! Awesome! He's still got the angry confused brilliant depth of expression thing going on, Big-Time! I wanna see him again!
