This is why I support Radio Paradise! They have introduced me to so many artists I would never find on my own. Thank you again. Making another donation today, wish it could be more.

Yes, that is some mean tabla play, also known as goblet drum. In Arabic, it's also widely known as darbuka. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goblet_drum

Thank You for the info!

As a native Hebrew speaker, I concur with the translation, as well as the vocalist not being a native Hebrew speaker herself.
The more I hear this, the more I like it!!  Thanx RP!
Very interesting!  I never heard of them before, That is why we come here.    Thanx
RP!

And here I thought this was a Robert Plant jaunt...with a tired Robert Plant.

This'll be Terry Hall from the Fun Boy 3? I wondered what happened to him. I'm not sure he goes right well on this number, which would be better without him - not that he's got a bad voice, just that it doesn't really fit in with the Middle Eastern feel. No' bad, though - 6 from the Nottingham jury.
Did I miss something here? Did this song's tempo change in the middle? It sounds like the rhythm section has hiccups.
The only thing worse than the music is the atrocious album cover -- they look like a jury. Or a police lineup!
The storm needs to take this guy & his belly dancer away quick!
Man . . .this really really SUCKS big time

Is this Janah re-badged? Same musical style and lead singer could be easily mistaken for the lead singer of Janah. There's no relation here, is there?
I was wondering the same

I'm not all that passionate about this song, but come on!
I like the mideast stuff. Cultural thing.

Should be an instrumental. The rhythms kill, the vocals do not.
Indeed. The first few seconds were an '8', the rest, a '6'.
I like these rhythms
This song makes me wish I knew how to bellydance! (Now where's that bellydancing emoticon?)
The first few seconds made me jump on here to see what Robert Plant was up to now... This is pretty killer, IMHO!
What is Bryan Ferry doing on the album cover?

I have to say for once, I agree with you!
