The world don't owe me nothing though I always want it to
The world don't owe me happy, the world don't owe me a love like you
The world don't owe me nothing even though I'm on my knees
Not the things I took for granted
Not the things I thought I got for free

But I will lay down my troubles on the ground in front of you
And play, let me play just one more song
That's my rescue

The world don't owe me flowers even though I planted seeds
The world don't owe me sunshine, the world don't owe me what I need
The world don't owe me a reason for when the night's too long
The world don't owe me nothing I don't understand all that's gone wrong

But I will lay down my troubles on the ground in front of you
And play, let me play just one more song
That's my rescue

The world don't owe me a highway, don't owe me a train
The world don't owe me an easy way out
Here it comes again another kind of pain

And I will lay down my troubles on the ground in front of you
And play, let me play just one more song
That's my rescue
My rescue

CRAZY BANJO!!!
I can't believe that Jokeandjokesandjokes is STILL listening!
Ok, it's not QUITE that bad, but close EDIT: The Banjo is great, however
very similar to kathleen edwards, only not so compelling. still OK though.

Kinda like a Shawn Colvin sound alike, and while she (Shawn) has a few good songs, she underwhelms me in a similar way.
Who is the banjo picker?
Never seen so many bleedin' new tunes, since my first couple of listens. It's a good thing...

And isn't whiny, beatch? Comment on the music, puta. Solid tune from Catie.

Catie's got soul.
The banjo at the end is kind of random, but amazing playing

Ditto that. I'm all for more.

That mandolin is a nice touch too! Nice music...very nice. :)
I haven\'t heard her before, but now I want to hear more.
She\'s got some good stuff. This song is lame though. I like the choo-choo analogy :)
I hadn't heard this one before. When I heard that voice I had to look to see if I was right. Looks like it's time to surf over to CDNOW. ... and I like that banjo. I think Steve Martin is a banjo genius.
I would be open to hearing more of her work, but this song is starting to really grate on my nerves. It feels like being the choo choo trying to get up that hill .. I think I can.. I think I can.. her vocals are delievered in that manner.. like.. quick...slow slow...quick...slow slow ... like the wheel slips a little as it rounds the top of it\'s roll, and then has to slowly build back up again... only to slip from the top and build again.. At least the next song was much more pleasing from this .. Van Morrison\'s Moondance ...
The lyrics are pleasantly simple and delivered in a style of lyrical simplicity. Simple is good and often powerful.
Schmaltz. For me to poop on.
Good stuff - play more Catie (please)
I really like this.. I would be interested in hearing more.
